Bushwick (more by Ryan Muir)
Bushwick

The Daily News reports raids on two apartments near the Bushwick-Ridgewood border turned up a $10 million stash of cocaine - or 80 pounds (!!!) - and a small arsenal (of big firearms) on Tuesday.

The raid was called on after narcotics officers observed a drug deal in front of the Ridgewood apartment Monday afternoon. The search led cops to the white mountain, scales, and clues leading to a house in Bushwick, where officers found an AK-47 rifle, two Uzi submachine guns, five handguns, and ammo.

"It's very rare to have a seizure of this size in these kinds of neighborhoods," Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget Brennan told the Daily News. [BushwickBK.com]

How does this relate to music?

Reporting someone else's content = bullshit journalism

at least take some time and write something about it in your own words

Maybe the hipsters should get back to Beer and Whiskey/Scotch. Much cheaper and less associated with despicable human beings and violence.

As the snow flies
On a cold and gray Chicago mornin'
A poor little baby child is born
In the ghetto
And his mama cries
'cause if there's one thing that she don't need
it's another hungry mouth to feed
In the ghetto

People, don't you understand
the child needs a helping hand
or he'll grow to be an angry young man some day
Take a look at you and me,
are we too blind to see,
do we simply turn our heads
and look the other way

Well the world turns
and a hungry little boy with a runny nose
plays in the street as the cold wind blows
In the ghetto

And his hunger burns
so he starts to roam the streets at night
and he learns how to steal
and he learns how to fight
In the ghetto

Then one night in desperation
a young man breaks away
He buys a gun, steals a car,
tries to run, but he don't get far
And his mama cries

As a crowd gathers 'round an angry young man
face down on the street with a gun in his hand
In the ghetto

As her young man dies,
on a cold and gray Chicago mornin',
another little baby child is born
In the ghetto

2:46, it's never been about music, only about doing drugs while listening to music!

where am i going to get my shit now?

Posted by Anonymous | April 29, 2010 4:06 PM

It wasn't very wise of them to deal drugs in front nearby the apartment stacked with drugs and guns, was it? This bust won't make all the drugs vanish from the market but it's a proof that the authorities are working on it.

Well I guess it was a good thing that the authorities are really seeking out and finding the problems, but that doesn't mean all the drugs will be off the street. www.drug-rehab.org would be a great tool for those that are trying to help their addictions.
