DOWNLOAD: Neon Indian - Psychic Chasms (BRAHMS Remix) (MP3)
Neon Indian in Austin (more by Bryan Bruchman)

Neon Indian announced a bunch more tour dates around their appearances at Sasquatch in May and Bonnaroo in June. Those new dates include a June 4th gig at LA's Natural History Museum and a June 17th headlining show at Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn (if I had to guess, I'd say tickets will go on sale this Friday). There are also two dates opening for Massive Attack. Massive Attack play Terminal 5 in NYC on May 11th and 12th (tickets still on sale for both). Neon Indian will open the one on the 12th and then travel with the band to Boston to open for them at House of Blues. Check out the new Brahms (Eric Lodwick, Drew Robinson, and Cale Parks) remix above. All dates below....

$52 + fees is bad enough, but not even going to consider it because of Terminal 5.

when I read (somewhere else) that Neon Indian was playing Terminal 5, I was shocked, considering that he played tiny venues (market hotel, if I recall correctly) just a couple of months ago. The post (not from here) made it sound like they were headlining, but I now see that they're not. Still, I'm sure they'll sell out MHOW. They should have chosen Webster Hall, because they could probably sell that out, just like Beach House and (almost) even GIRLS.
In August, when VEGA (his old band) opened for Beach House and Grizzly Bear at the JellyNYC Pool Party free concert, some JellyNYC dude that I was talking to after told me "Neon Indian is gonna be huge. I'm tellin' you", and I didn't believe him, but he was right.
Sure, the album is great, but they really have blown up really fast. It's really self promotion, but they did a good job.
The other band that has become huge in less than 6 months is The Morning Benders. They went from virtually unknown to selling out 2 Mercury Lounge shows, adding an MHOW show, and opening for the entire Broken Bells NA tour.
