Yep. Remember when they all tried to look like farmers? Arf! Last time I saw them they were desperately trying to be Animal Collective. Sad.

Nope. Totally legit.

I heard the drummer changed his name to nairb28. Weird.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2010 6:51 PM

i remember the time when they always painted their faces with what looked like bird shit

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2010 6:59 PM

they fucking suck

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2010 8:12 PM

They honestly may be the most overrated band out there right now (beyond Local Natives, who are equally overrated)

I don't understand how the powers that be can continue to give these guys dates....

Who keeps buying tickets?

I bet the negatives comments stem from people in shitty bands that feel threatened by any music both better and more original than their own

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2010 11:22 PM

TRUE BURN

won't comment on the aesthetic (the painted faces was always a bit much), but has anyone else heard their new record? it's really, really (REALLY) good.

Or they come from people who listen to a lot of music, and know when they see a fad band coming through.

Generally speaking, I hate people who come onto blogs and rant about the music on here when they dislike it, but more and more I see these boring, unoriginal, unnoteworthy bands getting too much attention for their own goods.

I saw it with TPC (a band that, honestly, has no unique musical style and deserves none of the acclaim or notice it receives) And I've been recently seeing it again with Yaesayer. Simply playing what's "in" should not get you a show on Governers Island.

I HATE Animal Collective, but I'll give them credit for trying something new. I can't say the same for the bands above....

This tour sounds incredible. I’m loving the Passion Pit re-release so far, their cover of the Cranberries’ “Dreams” is awesome. Highly recommend checking it out- http://www.myspace.com/passionpitjams
