Best Coast kick off a 3-night NYC-area run at The Meatlocker in Montclair tonight (the next two shows are actually in NYC).
Speaking of Montclair, Wilco played there Friday and Saturday.
Not counting Maxwell's, tonight's Knitting Factory show is your last chance to see Fang Island for a month at least.
Market Hotel wasn't supposed to have a show tonight, but if they did, it would be looking for a new location right now.
Atoms for Peace is the name of Thom Yorke's new band (Mauro, Flea, Thom, Joey and Nigel). They play their first of two shows at Roseland Ballroom tonight.

Does anyone know what to expect with the all-will call line?
I am worried it will be a shit show.

On one hand there are so many crazy radiohead fans, that people will be lined up hours in advance to get in early. That fact will probably help get people in before the opening band ends.
On the other hand, there are going to be a lot of slow downs with issues like. I lost my card that i bought my tickets with. I didn't bring the card i bought my tickets with. My mom/wife/girlfriend bought my tickets on her card and how do i get in?

Sandra Day O'Connor is at the City Bar Association tonight.

at 10:09, that is what I am thinking. Hopefully people do show up earlier but I do worry there will be a story with each person walking through the door.

Seriously though - I bought 2 tickets, but can't go now (out of town for work). So am I ass out - or can I transfer them to a friend? I don't want to sell them or screw anyone. I just want to give them away for free so someone can enjoy the $$ I spent and it doesn't just go to waste. This is the big problem with ticketless sales.

12:09 If it is someone you trust give them your credit card you purchased the tickets with and that will probably get them in when they check at the door...

a ticketless ticket...now that's an oxymoron

How'd the ticketing work? Did they print up tix when you show ID, or just let you in, à la will call at Bowery Ballroom?

don't have my original card, but government i.d? how do i get in tmrw ya'll?
Posted by Anonymous | April 5, 2010 11:27 PM
Show fucking rocked, I couldn't believe how good they sounded. Flea's bass was thick as shit. I think they played all of Eraser, couple new ones, Thom solo on Everything In Its Right Place was a nice treat. Flying Lotus was nasty too, glad I caught him. If you're going tomorrow, you'll be happy. The line outside sucked, get there early if you can. They swipe your credit card and give you a flimsy little stub to go in with.

Wonderful post and the location is beautiful and elegant in design and information and everything>>> to Favorites
Amazing is an enormous understatement. One of the best electronic shows I've ever been to and I've seen well over a thousand concerts. I had no idea Vladislav Delay was as good a drummer & percussionist as he is- fabulous and he kept everything swinging with a very unique style of playing. If you missed this you missed out big time...
