Erykah Badu @ Good Units in March (more by Ryan Muir)
Erykah Badu

In case you're wondering why Erykah Badu didn't play Roseland Tuesday night, it's because that show and others on her upcoming tour were rescheduled. The new date for Roseland is June 7th, where she'll play with Janelle Monae and ?uestlove. Tickets were still on sale yesterday, but currently not on sale at all.... which might be because Ticketmaster is confused about the date change (yesterday it said "day of show price"). Janelle Monae travels with Erykah for a good part of that tour, all the dates of which are posted below.

On June 26th, Erykah will be back in NYC to open for Maxwell at MSG (one of two shows he plays at the venue). Tickets are still on sale for that.

Her tour is in support of her new record New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh). All dates (which also include some Lilith Fair dates) are below...

Philly show was supposed to be tonight. Most people who bought tix prob aren't music-obsessed indie rock nerds......wondering how many people are going to show up tonight anyway. Sucks with the scheduling conflict.

Yeah, for some reason I actually feel bad about excited people showing up for a Badu show only to find that it was rescheduled for 2 weeks later. Oh well, at least it wasn't canceled. Can't wait to FINALLY see Erykah live!

Her Radio City show with The Roots was fantastic. Roseland, umm, no thanks.

I wish she was on the Maxwell show at the Garden im seeing. I'd rather see her than Jill Scott.

^^

Jill Scott is kind of NOT to be missed. Her show at Carnegie Hall some years back was beyond.

Beyond what? I just dont find her to very interesting at all.

While I'd rather see Erykah, Jill Scott is pretty amazing live....vocal acrobatics! Seriously, go in with an open mind and I'm sure you'll enjoy.

If I have to see one more stupid picture of Jonelle Monae, I will puke. She and Badu are both wannabe eccentrics, faux-intellectuals, and nitwits.

LKJ, you are not a wannabe, but a true idiot.

Janelle Monae is the boss - best stage moves since MJ/James Brown.

Can't wait to see this Bohemian Nubian Queen of Neo-Soul!
This is a brutal schedule, hope she doesn't burn-out... Luv you, momma!

i think there's a lot judgment in this conversation....it seems the listening audience had forgotten the messages these women sing

Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie were really good albums. Got them when they came out, still throw them on at times and think they're great. It saddens me when I hear bands from that era when I was a teenager and hear their new stuff and it's so clear how they've lost it, they sound desperate to recapture a sound/magic that they haven't had in 15 years (holy shit).... And then I realize that is not unlike a lot of us.

Erica is a hot chick from Tejas - wish her butt wasn't soo big. She does sing some sweet sounds tho!

I have not seen her live or jill but i hear both shows are good. If one has a show when i am around i plan on going. I missed last years show i was out of town when she was near me.
