Metric?? Apparently people in NYC have bad taste in music. It's unfortunate. (frown)

all similes are metaphors, but not all metaphors are similes.

I actually do like Metric (I think it's just me left), but man, what a sad little setlist. Kind of glad I didn't shell out the $$$ after all.

the setlist looks short, but when Metric play, they extend every song. Dead Disco was around 9 minutes long. Total set time was about 1.5 hours

"Moreover, metaphor also denotes rhetorical figures of speech that achieve their effects via association, comparison, and resemblance, e.g. antithesis, hyperbole, metonymy, and simile; all are species of metaphor."

oh man this band became successful so now I'm gonna spend my whole day commenting about how much they suck. this is why I love BV

Metric is a good band. And Emily is great in concert, she's electric, whether you think she's hot or not.
Don't be harsh without reason. Shell out the cash to see them in concert or spend time listening to their albums, then give a LEGIT reason as to why you don't like them.
