Eels

The band Eels (the long-running project of Mark Oliver Everett) have plotted a tour (their first since 2008) that will travel to Australia, Europe and - in September and October - North America. The trip reaches NYC on Saturday, September 25th for a show at Terminal 5. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 11th, at noon.

The kick off for the tour is a warm-up show in Santa Ana, California, on August 3rd. Its last date is an L.A. show on October 12th.

The tour corresponds with Tomorrow Morning, Eels' ninth studio album, which comes out August 24th on E Works Records. The record (cover above) is the third in a trilogy with 2009's Hombre Lobo and early 2010's End Times. Videos from End Times, all tour dates and album tracklist are below...

If this new album is anywhere near the quality of his last one, it's going to be pretty bad.

Why do these bands play awesome places like the Metro in Chicago while NY'ers get stuck with seeing them at horrible T5?

LCD Soundsystem just played the Metro last night, too.

love the eels but the last 2 albums have been kinda lame, and terminal 5 is way too big and shitty. might have to pass on this.

If E would edit himself down a bit, this trilogy could've been one awesome album instead of three mediocre ones.

Never thought I'd miss an Eels show in NYC. Thanks Terminal 5 and Bowery Presents.
