Goatwhore classes up Ozzfest
Goatwhore

Die, die, die already! After 2008's Ozzfest featured just a single date and 2009 was non-existent, I figured that maybe, just maybe, Ozzfest had finally been put to bed. I was sadly mistaken. Over six dates across the US, 2010's Ozzfest will feature appearances from (I think) an almost completely missable main stage of Ozzy Osbourne, Motley Crue, Halford, Devildriver, and Nonpoint along with a semi-respectable second stage featuring Black Label Society, Drowning Pool, Kingdom of Sorrow, Goatwhore, Skeletonwitch, Saviours, and Kataklysm. Ozzfest hits Hartford, CT on 8/21 and Camden, NJ on 8/22. Tickets go on sale 5/22. All dates and some videos are below.

Goatwhore at SXSW 2010

Skeletonwitch - "Beyond the Permafrost" @ Union Pool. Nov. 14th, 2009

Saviours - "Cavern Of Mind"

KINGDOM OF SORROW - 'Behind The Blackest Tears' Trailer

Rob Halford Interview, Judas Priest performing "Living After Midnight" at Live Aid 1985

OZZFEST - 2010 TOUR DATES
Sat, Aug 14 San Bernardino, CA San Manuel Amphitheater
Tue, Aug 17 Chicago, IL First Midwest Bank Amp.
Thurs, Aug 19 Pittsburgh, PA First Niagara Pavilion
Sat, Aug 21 Hartford, CT Comcast Theater
Sun, Aug 22 Camden, NJ Susquehanna
Tue, Aug 24 Boston, MA Comcast Center

This would have excited me a decade ago.

I am super excited for this.

I LOVE Halford (download Crucible if you want to know what it would sound like to hear him singing in an extreme metal band) and this is awesome that he is playing.

Ozzy and Crue are cool, but if they are awful we can just head back to NYC early.

So as I see it I get to see Kataklysm, Goatwhore, Skeletonwitch, Devildriver, Kingdom of Sorrow and Halford on the same day.

Not bad. Not bad at all.........

EDIT: completely missable in its entirety

Ozzy needs to retire from music. SIX dates is not a tour, its a god damned joke.

main stage is atrocious with exception of Halford (don't love his solo stuff but you just can't dis 'The Metal God'). 2nd stage is good minus the dreadful Black Label Society and Drowning Pool. But really, what's the point? 6 dates?

Bring out the fishnets, airbrushed titties, oversized baggy shorts, and really badly dyed haircuts!
