Yeasayer Kin show in San Francisco
yeasayer

Not to be confused with their DJ set at Museum of Natural History, Passion Pit will perform their previously-mentioned, free "Kin" show at a secret Tribeca location in NYC tonight (5/14). The location and other details will be revealed at some point on the event's Facebook page. Same goes for Saturday's Black Keys show, Saturday's Ting Tings show, and the newly-announced Dead Weather show happening in Chicago on next Sunday Saturday (5/22).

For the Black Keys, it's one of three NYC shows in a week. The other two happen at the very tiny Housing Works Bookstore and the very large Madison Square Garden.

"Kin" hosted their first promotional shows in this series the other day in San Francisco with performances by Asher Roth, N.E.R.D. and Yeasayer. Pictures from those continue below...

They're going to announce the location on facebook and its a first come, first served line?! Prepare for a shitshow!

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 12:46 PM

The way you know it is gonna be a shitshow is by looking at that events facebook page. Seeing all the total fucking MORONS making comments like "put me down for me +1" as if Kin is making up an RSVP list to get in. Or when they say the Passion Pit show is in Tribeca and the people say "oh it must be at the Nokia Theater"

Seriously, are people really this stupid?

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 12:57 PM

Lighten up 12:57 in terms of the +1...it is just some kids excited for a concert.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 1:00 PM

Wow, 12:57 has never been a dipshit? Find that hard to believe. Leave the kids alone you prick. Don't act like you shit ice cream.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 2:05 PM

I have engaged in sexual relations with 12:57's mother.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 2:18 PM

Man, Passion Pit eat my balls.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 2:24 PM

I can't believe it. That dude just totally told Passion Pit to eat his balls! Wow, snap! He showed them.

Take that, Passion Pit. Eat that anonymous commenter's balls, which must be totally huge given he typed "Man, Passion Pit eat my balls" into the box and clicked submit.

Man.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 2:31 PM

No, see... I wasn't telling them to eat my balls, I was saying that they currently DO eat my balls. Yours too. Everyone's really.

Because Passion Pit, in fact, eats balls.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 2:35 PM

What does your band eat, 2:35?

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 2:42 PM

Really? The old "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE THAT'S SO GREAT?" argument? My band is The Beatles. So now you look like a fool.

Love,
Paul McCartney

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 2:47 PM

You have no band.

Why don't you leave your room and finally go do something real with your life?

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 2:51 PM

EVERYBODY JUST SHUT UP AND BUY A KIN ALREADY

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 2:53 PM

@12:57 here. Not that i could not predict it but of course after asking if these people are really that stupid along comes 4 loser idiots right after confirming it

Thank you.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 2:55 PM

12:57 maybe you are the loser idiot...Hmmmm

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 2:57 PM

2:55 and 12:57 are the same person!!!!! They are the LOSER.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 3:02 PM

Anybody who responds to criticism of a band by asking what the critic's band has ever done should be shot in the face with a t-shirt cannon. Filled with boners.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 3:04 PM

Sounds like 3:04 knows his way around boners.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 3:15 PM

@3:04 could not agree more. How about we also add the losers who claim the people making comments on here that they don't agree with are all the same person.

Oh and @2:57, yes shithead I am sure that is how you get through your lame loser life. "It's everyone else not me". Make sure you RSVP for you and any of your guests at the Kin facebook page. The names will be on the door list and will get in. Promise.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 3:16 PM

3:04 knows what good entertainment is: boner cannons with Danzig blasting in the background.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 3:17 PM

wtf is a kin?

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 3:19 PM

I'm calling dibs on the name BONER CANNON. None of you assholes steal it!

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 3:23 PM

Suck it 3:23.

Posted by Boner Cannon | May 14, 2010 3:27 PM

A lot of you hating losers will have long, sad lives. Why not end it now!

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 3:37 PM

Why not end questions with a question mark?

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2010 3:39 PM

The only good to come out of this batch of comments in the phrase Boner Cannon, which I think works equally well as a weapon (cannon) or a piece of music (canon)

Posted by poop | May 15, 2010 8:48 AM

probably, poop.

Posted by Anonymous | May 15, 2010 9:36 AM

what time did you have to get on line in order to get in? and what's good with Black Keys today?

Posted by Anonymous | May 15, 2010 10:31 AM

How was the turnout lastnight, was anyone turned away? Curious how crazy the Key's show will be tonight?

Posted by Anonymous | May 15, 2010 11:03 AM

last night was crazy. Only 350 people allowed in almost double that turned away. If you didnt get there before 630 you didnt get in for passion pit. Might be less hectic for black keys

Posted by Anonymous | May 15, 2010 12:13 PM

must have been more than 350. and i dont remember them ever counting how many people. maybe from the wristbands they counted.

Posted by Anonymous | May 15, 2010 1:03 PM

nvm the keys how crazy are ting tings gonna be? i must be at that show!

Posted by Anonymous | May 15, 2010 1:07 PM

It was 350 people. I was one of the last two let in. Soooo worth it, great show, amazing atmosphere, even better drinks.

Passion Pit was hanging in Philly, check out their awesome Studio Session - http://www.radio1045.com/pages/studio/performance_studio.html

Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie were really good albums. Got them when they came out, still throw them on at times and think they're great. It saddens me when I hear bands from that era when I was a teenager and hear their new stuff and it's so clear how they've lost it, they sound desperate to recapture a sound/magic that they haven't had in 15 years (holy shit).... And then I realize that is not unlike a lot of us.

I am great fun of Angelakos and the Passion Pit crew, all the way since the early days when I first heard 'Chunk of Change' back at Emerson College. At the times they look as such a disparate group, but somehow they manage to pull it together. Looking forward to grab their next album. They should definitely set up a Midwest tour.

That is known that money can make us disembarrass. But what to do if somebody doesn't have cash? The one way only is to get the credit loans or just collateral loan.
