Ronnie James Dio is hanging in there

The official Ronnie James Dio Twitter posted this message last night: "Don't believe the rumors, Ronnie is still hanging in there!!!" Hugs, Wendy Dio". The message was posted in reaction to rumors that Ronnie lost his battle with stomach cancer.

Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May.
Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes
before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he
was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have
all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal... with this
terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever. Wendy

this whole thing is a strike against blogs. i mean how is it that a blog will know before the news source which received the press release from his publicist. what a circus and a shame.

Like his music or not he was one of the most powerful rock singers of all time and was still in top form right up until he got sick. Very big loss. Very sad.
