The National are playing BAM (and YouTube) on May 15th...

The National

…though I don’t know when it goes on sale or how tickets are working yet. The show will be a benefit, like Dark Was the Night, for the Red Hot Organization. A live webcast of the concert will be streamed from the Brooklyn Academy of Music on YouTube. The webcast will be directed by documentary filmmakeer D.A. Pennebaker and Chris Hegedus and it’ll be the first live (like, actual live, as it happens) concert video directed by the husband and wife. Before the concert they’ll show one of their short films. The show is being presented by ZYNC from American Express.

Stay tuned for more info on that, and what exactly will be happening at the High Violet Annex from May 11-15th. Meanwhile, stream High Violet at NPR.

UPDATE:
The Zync Facebook page now mentions the show.
