WOOM is Eben Portnoy and Sara Magenheimer, a duo who splits time between Cali and NYC and used to be called Fertile Crescent. Both were in the band Flying, the other third of which is now in Glass Ghost. Last night WOOM played Cake Shop with "Bees Are Flowers" aka These Are Powers. Tonight (5/19) they perform at Death By Audio with Shooting Spires (BJ from Parts & Labor), AcHT(eN) (ex-The Good Good) and Family Trees.

At the end of May Woom goes to Europe for a three-week tour with Xiu Xiu. They'll be back at the end of June for shows as part of the Northside Festival (and a pair of dates in July too). Their debut, Muu's Way, comes out June 28th on BaDaBing Records (a track from it is above).
