10 bucks the sound is going to suck at MSG for this show. Always seems the newbie bands fuck up their sound at MSG. Well, it is a big jump from United Palace to MSG.

Bank of America Pavilion > MSG

I'm headed to Boston

Posted by Anonymous | June 1, 2010 1:44 PM

Would love to see them again in a smaller venue, but so happy we got a MSG show.

Posted by Anonymous | June 1, 2010 1:46 PM

Posted by dave | June 1, 2010 2:52 PM

the upside is that lawyer rock at msg means more slots for cool bands at the good venues

Posted by Anonymous | June 1, 2010 3:08 PM

Wow. Playing in the Atlanta suburbs almost an hour outside of the city. Good luck with that. New album better be super radio friendly so that they can successfully transfer their fans over to the top 40 crowd.

Posted by Anonymous | June 1, 2010 3:09 PM

Hipsters! Even their choice of large corporate music venues is an exercise in elitist snark.

Posted by josh | June 1, 2010 3:11 PM

@anon 3:09 -- don't forget the new album title.

Posted by CarterB | June 1, 2010 3:15 PM

CIA + Mossad = Al Qaeda

Posted by Anonymous | June 1, 2010 3:50 PM

This may be the perfect venue for seeing both bands because none of the hipsters will want to go to MSG.

Posted by sunnydlita | June 1, 2010 5:48 PM

none of the hipsters will go because they have better taste in music, arcade fire and spoon - total snoozefest

Posted by Anonymous | June 1, 2010 6:12 PM

hahahha hipsters have better taste in music....please list the bands you listen to!

Posted by Anonymous | June 1, 2010 6:38 PM

Well, BONER CANNON for one.

Posted by Anonymous | June 1, 2010 6:56 PM

Posted by Anonymous | June 1, 2010 9:12 PM

MSG!!!??? Good for them but I'm going to have to pass.

Posted by Anonymous | June 1, 2010 9:17 PM

I am glad all of you fuckers are not attending this show because of the venue. will make ticket-buying easier for the rest of us. thank you.

Posted by Anonymous | June 1, 2010 9:36 PM

Agreed w/ 9:36

So really, how the hell do you sign up for the fanclub?

Posted by Anonymous | June 1, 2010 10:48 PM

Is this Billons first headline play at MSG?

Posted by Anonymous | June 1, 2010 11:25 PM

Where exactly does one find the MSG link for the $50 tickets?

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 9:47 AM

9:36 - so how does this ticketbuying happen... link?

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 10:00 AM

Looks like the site crashed before tickets even went on sale.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 10:02 AM

all dates look to be on sale except new york.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 10:03 AM

boston philly and chicago are only ones up, and site crashed..

but of course this would happen...

Posted by muziq | June 2, 2010 10:03 AM

a band screwing up a presale. that's never happened before. nope.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 10:05 AM

It lets me refresh (but very, very slowly) but yeah, still no MSG - and this after they tweeted that the presale had started on their website.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 10:07 AM

AF probably just hates NYC

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 10:11 AM

so when does this really go on sale?

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 10:14 AM

Our neighbors to the north half assing something...don't you ever change Canada

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 10:16 AM

Mann Center > MSG

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 10:18 AM

According to their Facebook, MSG and DC and being handled by Ticketmaster. Great.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 10:19 AM

while the grammar of the post lacks a bit of clarity, towards the end it does seem to indicate that NYC tickets go on sale June 9-12... if you want Philly tickets, that's working fine.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 10:19 AM

NYC onsale next wed:)

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 10:21 AM

putting that on their site would probably help them w site traffic

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 10:24 AM

thanks 10:21. :)

not sure I wanna even see them @ MSG, they did rock @ Radio City a few years ago. i'll prbly go if I can pull pit tickets

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 10:24 AM

Or even, y'know, clearly indicating beforehand: All shows on fanclub presale Wednesday at 10, EXCEPT NYC. Clear as mud. :)

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 10:25 AM

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 10:32 AM

The Mann Center is the perfect venue for the band, it's so beautiful.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2010 11:58 AM

Anyone know why the Merriweather Post Pavillion tickets haven't become available for preorder yet?

Posted by David | June 2, 2010 12:12 PM

Does anyone know, how do you get access to the "fanclub" presale tomorrow for the MSG show? Can't find any info online about an official fanclub or anything...

Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie were really good albums. Got them when they came out, still throw them on at times and think they're great. It saddens me when I hear bands from that era when I was a teenager and hear their new stuff and it's so clear how they've lost it, they sound desperate to recapture a sound/magic that they haven't had in 15 years (holy shit).... And then I realize that is not unlike a lot of us.

you dave haters can go fuck yourselves. bonnaroo 2010 was 4 of the best days of my life. the DMB and JayZ headliners at the main stage were two of the best shows I've ever seen, musically and production speaking. 2011 'roo is going to be amazing. Phish headlining?

they also played at a place called Tramps in april '99 losers. with qotsa. where were you? you guys sound pretty angry? go listen to something hip. whatever the fuck you think that is. why does james iha need to be in the band for them to be good? that makes no sense. so the band changed lineups. oh well.
