Gods of New York Death Metal, Immolation, will play The Studio at Webster Hall with Arsis on July 28th. Tickets for the show, part of the ongoing Blackened Music Series, are on sale. The show is a one off for Immolation, who will hit the road in late September with Vader, Abigail Williams, Lecherous Nocturne, and Pathology, tagging the Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale on September 30th (ticket info forthcoming). Arsis played the Crazy Donkey on Sunday (6/6) with Misery Index and Dying Fetus. How was that show?

Immolation released the sure-to-be-year-end-fave Majesty & Decay earlier this year. Full tour dates and some vids are below...

I've seen this band open for Cannibal Corpse, and Deicide and man are they boring as fuck live. I will be avoiding this one at all costs.Too bad Vader is opening up their tour later on this year, as I love Vader.

Dunno, saw them open for Nile this past winter and thought they really brought it.

So wrong. Immolation are so so heavy and awesome live. And in a room this small? I already got my tickets.

You went to a show that also had Cannibal Corpse and Deicide, and somehow Immolation was the most boring band?

Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie were really good albums. Got them when they came out, still throw them on at times and think they're great. It saddens me when I hear bands from that era when I was a teenager and hear their new stuff and it's so clear how they've lost it, they sound desperate to recapture a sound/magic that they haven't had in 15 years (holy shit).... And then I realize that is not unlike a lot of us.
