Bonnaroo masses line up @ a water station in the Tennessee heat (suesthegrl)
Bonnaroo

"MANCHESTER, Tenn.- The heat is possibly to blame for a death at Bonnaroo in Manchester.

David Sloane, 29, from North Carolina collapsed early Sunday morning in front of medical personnel. Medics rushed him to the hospital where he later died.

The Tullahoma News reports Sloane had a core body temperature of 108. The medical examiner will now do an autopsy to figure out exactly how he died." [Channel5]

Sad news from Bonnaroo. USA Today also has an article about the heat. "We've been a little more worried because the heat index is over 100 degrees," Coffee County sheriff Steve Graves says. A video about the heat below...

i've never been to one of these outdoor festivals but always thought they seemed like hell. really hot, long lines for expensive food, far away from stage, dirty, sweaty, etc

Please stop posting Bonnaroo news. This have nothing to do with the NY area. Thanks.

i can barely stand being in the same room with you guys for 2 hours...how could i possibly want to spend my weekend at something like this?

No but it does have to do with music dipshit. Plus many nyers head down for it.

Thanks for posting BV.

And Bonnaroo is hot, far away from stage, dirty, and sweaty... but the food actually pretty well priced and you can bring your own if you want.

"Music, photos, and news from a Vegan in Brooklyn" notice it doesn't say, "Music, photos, and news from events in Brooklyn by a Vegan"

Everyone I know from the NY area was in TN this weekend for Bonnaroo. I think that means this has a lot to do with the NY area

nothing to do with ny, almost nothing to do with music

"nothing to do with ny, almost nothing to do with music"

this certainly has to do with the music scene, and we're in the heart of festival season. bv, please ignore these individuals, thanks

This discussion is stupid. I'm always interested in reading about festivals that occur during the summer (Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Sasquatch, etc.)

If you have no interest in reading about out-of-town festivals, just scroll past the post.

You don't have to click and ready through every post.

I wasn't at Bonnaroo and I live in Canada (far from Brooklyn) and here I am enjoying and reading about the festival on BV. Thanks.
