Ra Ra Riot have planned an extensive tour of the US and Canada this fall in support of their new album, The Orchard, which comes out August 24th on Barsuk Records. There will be four shows in New York to kick off it off. They'll play September 21st and 22nd at Bowery Ballroom and September 23rd and 24th at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Tickets go on sale Wednesday at noon.

Before those, the band has dates in Japan this July, and a few shows in Canada (Montreal for Osheaga), Ohio (for the Ohio State Fair) and elsewhere. They're also playing a pre-NYC show at Cracker Factory in Geneva, NY, on September 18th.

Too bad these dates conflict with Pavement's 4 night stand at Summerstage....silly silly time to book these shows!

Those Pavement shows sold out a year ago. I'm sure there's plenty of people who couldn't get tickets.
