Spiritualized at Pitchfork 2008 (more by Elizabeth Weinberg)
Spiritualized

Spiritualized have confirmed that they will be playing Radio City Music Hall on July 30th. They've also confirmed that they will in fact be playing all of their landmark Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space. It will be their lone North American date, as well as the last performance of the LP in it's entirety. Spiritualized recently reissued Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space with tons of bonus material.

Tickets will go on pre-sale on June 11th (Friday), and then general sale on June 14th (Monday). The previously discussed ticket link is gone. More details are forthcoming.

Spiritualized recently played all of Ladies & Gentlemen... in it's entirety at the Matt Groening curated All Tomorrow's Parties in Minehead. Video from that show, as well as video from Iggy & The Stooges, Boredoms, and James Chance & The Contortions, are all below....

Nah, their show in 97 @ Webster Hall when they toured for L&G was epic. RCMH will be fine and a nice time....but between the recent Apollo show and the L&G tour at Webster I'm pretty well set....& I've seen them at least 10 other times- not a hater! Enjoy the show if you go....but when they opened for radiohead at RCMH they were epic as well. They usually are (Bowery, Riverside Church).

This show, if J. Spaceman or the promoters wanted to make it truly special it should have been someplace special...Carnegie hall, Rose Theater @ JALC, something better than RCMH....create the ideal enviorment for such a killer record

That Spiritualized Pitchfork show was intense. The power went out and Spaceman smashed his guitar in anger.

every show i've seen for spiritualized has been epic, this will be no different. wish i could be there.

Having seen Spiritualized in the past at Bowery, I'd say the crowd is in for a fairly uneventful evening. Unless you enjoy watching the mysterious Mr. Pierce stand by the side of the stage "orchestrating" the band, then the show will be "great!". Nothing against the music, just sort of middle of the road in all honesty...

The greatest smack album EVER.

How long do you think they show will last? It doesn't look like there'll be an opening act...
I can only go if I'm able to catch the midnight bus back home

Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie were really good albums. Got them when they came out, still throw them on at times and think they're great. It saddens me when I hear bands from that era when I was a teenager and hear their new stuff and it's so clear how they've lost it, they sound desperate to recapture a sound/magic that they haven't had in 15 years (holy shit).... And then I realize that is not unlike a lot of us.

you dave haters can go fuck yourselves. bonnaroo 2010 was 4 of the best days of my life. the DMB and JayZ headliners at the main stage were two of the best shows I've ever seen, musically and production speaking. 2011 'roo is going to be amazing. Phish headlining?

they also played at a place called Tramps in april '99 losers. with qotsa. where were you? you guys sound pretty angry? go listen to something hip. whatever the fuck you think that is. why does james iha need to be in the band for them to be good? that makes no sense. so the band changed lineups. oh well.

Is there any recent footage of them available? I checked out YouTube it looks like they haven't done a tour since 2008. I'd love to hear some new stuff they've been working on.
