Over the last five summers, SummerScreen has lured thousands of Brooklynites out of their stuffy apartments with the promise of cold beer and classic movies under the stars. This year, we return to McCarren Park with a nod to our adolescent idols and crushes: Cusack, Bowie, Danes, Depp, Richards and Reeves.

Bring a blanket, drink beer, eat tacos and quote "Vaya con dios" with 3,000 other Patrick Swayze fans.

SummerScreen starts on Wednesday, July 7, at the McCarren Park Ballfields (corner of Bedford and North 12th). Gates open at 6pm, films start at dusk. Get there early to enjoy Happy Hour specials and live music.

Directions:
The McCarren Park ball field is located in Williamsburg at the corner of Bedford and North 12th.
Take the G train to Nassau or the L train to Bedford.

John Hughes has nothing to do with "Say anything". It was a Cameron Crowe movie.

Say Anything trivia: When Lloyd holds up the radio, it is actually playing a song by the group Fishbone. "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel was added post-production.

the screening of point break should be right there on the beach at coney island or rockaway. then immediately after the movie, it's followed up with a football game and a bonfire right there on the beach.
