I saw this band play in a basement in Jersey.. weird..

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 5:17 PM

I am pretty sure Free Energy will be on the webster bill, not to sure about Maxwells though. Hopefully they will be though cause a Titus/Free Energy show would be sick.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 5:29 PM

Free Energy seriously eats asshole.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 5:32 PM

now THAT'S a beard!

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 5:34 PM

Could Titus Andronicus be any more overrated? Vampire Weekend for the hipster punk set.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 5:56 PM

Titus Andronicus sounds like testicular adenoma

YAWN.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 6:07 PM

^totes stoked you and your mom bought a used couch/went to the empire states buildings. have you been to time SQUARE?

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 6:30 PM

Everything Free Energy does the DIAMOND NIGHTS did 10 times better. Free Energy just sound like Weezer lovin' wuss-bags The fact that the great Thin Lizzy is even mentioned in relation to this band is a major travesty--I see no similarity. Can't believe they are on DFA either. crap crap crap.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 6:30 PM

diamond nights....they opened for JET....need I say anymore?

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 7:18 PM

seriously, who listens to this shit?

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 7:33 PM

titus plays in the nyc area way too often

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 7:40 PM

let me get this straight: titus AND free energy? In the same show? uh, greatest bill in the last two years. I'll be glued to my computer on wednesday at 12.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 8:16 PM

can they really fill webster hall?

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 8:31 PM

they sold out bowery ballroom ^^ so they'll probably come close if not sell it out, ya punk.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 8:32 PM

Even Jet has better riffs than Free Energy.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 8:33 PM

stupidest head in rock.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 9:51 PM

i do not know what people see in ta. they suck.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 10:43 PM

Listening to Free Energy makes me want to punch Free Energy in their faces. That's not the type of energy I want!

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 10:46 PM

Titus Andronicus gets my vote for worst band EVER.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 10:48 PM

Titus rules, and Free Energy is fucking terrible nostalgic 80's throwback cock-rock.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 10:49 PM

More like Tight-Ass Andronisucks.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 11:17 PM

they take themselves way too seriously.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 11:34 PM

This shoutbox is so cool, they reject all the 'trends' that only they can see in music.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2010 11:41 PM

This shoutbox is filled with morons - in all likelihood it's probably a total of 4 guys, sitting at work everyday commenting "this sucks" on every thread between looking for crotch shots on TMZ.

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 12:00 AM

Hey, fuck everyone.

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 12:06 AM

That guy with the beard has the HUGEST dick in indie rock. Word.

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 12:44 AM

Says the dude who has sucked 'em all.

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 12:54 AM

wow! i want to listen!

Posted by louis | June 29, 2010 1:17 AM

"Free Energy is great, and people love them!" says music blogs

"Free Energy is pretty crappy" says people

How can a man enjoy hummus with such an enormous beard? When he leans over to grab more pita bread, wouldn't his beard dip into the container?

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 3:22 AM

if a beard dips into a vat of hummus, and no one in glen rock is around to hear it, will it still make that spry, acoustically dick-pleasing dipping sound? fuckkkkkk me!

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 4:30 AM

seriously though. someone have sex with me. i will do absolutely anything

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 4:30 AM

haters gonna hate. it's been a pretty good year for music, and "the monitor" is BY FAR the best album of the year.

titus andronicus forever!

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 7:41 AM

I wonder if a bird lives in that beard.

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 9:42 AM

looks like the dumb dude that came to kill superman

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 10:15 AM

^HAHA!

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 10:51 AM

daniel farraday?

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 12:00 PM

Titus has a song subtitled about Brooklyn Vegan comment threads
They know what you're going to say before you do. Nerds. Get a life. Move out of your parents house.play guitar not rockband. Long live rock and roll.

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 12:03 PM

^ I'll admit it. I laughed.

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 12:05 PM

do they really? too bad no one's heard it b/c this band is garbage.

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 12:09 PM

HOLY SHIT!! HA HA - you hit it right on the nose - "dumb dude that came to kill superman".

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 12:17 PM

^^
"No one's heard it"??? Look, you're entitled to your opinion, but like it or not, you're showing how clueless you are by saying that. They've become a pretty well known and well liked band. That's just a fact, however you feel about them. I hate Godsmack, but I don't then presume that no one else listens to them.

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 12:19 PM

Ill be at Webster Hall...

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 12:39 PM

free energy = no energy

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 4:32 PM

saw titus in a basement 2 years ago. they sucked and were total jerks, but it's cool to see that they're doing well. headlining webster hall? good for them.

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 5:08 PM

I'll be at webster also

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 8:57 PM

I accidently saw this band 2 years ago, only person in the venue (all their fans were underage) - they were a total trainwreck and still are. But they are incredible in ways that are being left for dead in music. They keep the flame going for just not giving a fuck...L magazine can shove their hype driven cover story - if any band deserves a headlining slot at Webster, it's Titus. Well earned.

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2010 9:52 PM

I saw Titus for the first time at Northside last weekend and thought they were great. Looking forward to these shows.
