Tokyo Police Club, now on tour with Passion Pit and DOM (who played Brooklyn Bowl last night), played a sort of private show at the Studio @ Webster Hall in NYC last night (6/1). That was followed by a beer pong after-party with Mark Knight and others in attendance. Pictures from the whole night, and TPC's setlist, below...

The lead singer is wearing a very ironic shirt! Also, are these dudes still in high school?!

Terrible band. I once saw them (I got in for free because I know the door guy, duh), and it was mehsirable. I actually stole an LP of theirs from their mehrch table (they didn't have anyone holding ship while they were playing). The show was so bad that I ended up just throwing it into the toilet and relieving mehself on it.

Is that one of the guys from Spoon playing beer pong?

Posted by Anonymous | June 3, 2010 8:31 AM

^^Yep. That's Rob Pope, the bass player from Spoon.

Spoon and, more notably, the Get Up Kids.

It was a pretty good show. First time I saw the live, and I enjoyed every minute of it :) I actually was able to get the actual setlist, which, for some strange reason, was pretty cool. Oh, and the poster.

I listened to their album on exclaim.ca, and I forgot how good they sound. I pre-ordered "Champ", and now I;m just waiting for it.

Can't wait for the June 29th show in Brooklyn with Passion Pit. Gonna be amazing!

By the way, great pics Andrew

Then again, I thought the setlist was pretty average. Only like 2 of the songs there I wasn't to happy about. I was hoping they would play "Graves". Eh.

PLAY NURSERY ACADEMY OR FUCK OFF

Terrible band. I once saw themeh (I got in for free because I "know" the door guy, duh), and it was mehsirable. I actually stole an LP of theirs (I often steal things I don't need like oxygen)from their mehrch table (they didn't have anyone holding ship while they were playing where's their meharketing team? U2 never has that problem). The show was so bad that I ended up just throwing it into the toilet and relieving mehself on it(shoving it up meh ass, duh)
