Can't believe BOH sold 8000 tixs for the Waterfront show....

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 1:00 PM

What's the curfew for the Waterfront? 10:30? 11:00?

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 1:21 PM

"Can't believe BOH sold 8000 tixs for the Waterfront show...."

That's cause they didn't you nitwit. Give aways, scalping agencies getting blocks of tix before sale and press and media credentials.

Far and away less than 8000 sold not to mention i'm pretty sure 6000 is the capacity of Waterfront.

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 1:31 PM

when the fuck are ganglians gonna come back!?

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 1:38 PM

1:31, you are a true idiot. Scalpers may be getting blocks of tickets for Lady Gaga, but not for BoH. There were only a handful of tickets on broker sites. Yes, press, guests get free tickets, but that is the case with many shows. Whatever the capacity is for the place, I'm sure they sold tickets close to that number.

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 3:19 PM

Why is Grizzly Bear stuck opening for a crap band like BoH?

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 3:25 PM

this shit is gonna be way too crowded to sit on the ground, no?

music at 6:30?

Posted by joe | June 20, 2010 3:25 PM

even press tickets are technically 'bought' by the PR/Labels

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 3:26 PM

Grizzly Bear is so over! They made one good album that everyone got bored of quick. But BOH is kicking 2010's ass! They are the best band around! Everyone loves BOH! They rule!

Posted by Butch | June 20, 2010 3:28 PM

true true. I dont see Grizzley Bear doing anything good in the future and theyre pretty boring live. Band of Horses are totally the best new band. They ROCK live!

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 3:34 PM

who cares about the Melvins and BOH? Both blow like a stiff fart in the wind!

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 3:45 PM

we are talking about the Grizzley bear/BOH show! who cares about the melvins?

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 3:46 PM

The Melvins invented grunge! and they ruled last night you stoopid hipster! go suck an egg 3:46!

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 3:48 PM

Band of horses are such an original band. Whether you like them or not, you must admit, they do not sound like any one else. They are the most original and they put on a monster live show!

Grizzly bear on the other hand... useless hipster fad :(

"Band of horses are such an original band. Whether you like them or not, you must admit, they do not sound like any one else"

R U KIDDING~??? Do you listen to anything pre - 2005? They sound like many bands! Theres nothing original about BOH!

bv, thanx for trying to post whatsgoingontoday earlier these days, it makes a big difference, especially for early shows...but some shows, like the bell house block party thing & the tanya donelly joe's pub gig are just so early that it would b much appreciated if u can make an effort to mention them the day before (as u do for some shows anyway, ones that u just seem particularly excited about). just as posting whatsgoingontoday at 11pm would make it useless, posting noon events only on the same day is ALSO kind of useless, no matter how early the post goes up. thanks, we all appreciate yr hard work

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 4:10 PM

this shit is gonna be way too crowded to sit on the ground, no?

music at 6:30?

Posted by joe | June 20, 2010 4:11 PM

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 4:12 PM

I really wish Band of Horses' new album wasn't so fucking boring.

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 4:45 PM

THE NEW BOH RULES EARTH!!!! THEY ARE BETTER THAN RADIOHEAD YOU HIPSTER SCUM!

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 6:01 PM

Who the hell thought Grizzley bear deserved to play with Band of horses? Band of Horses are already legends! Grizzley bear are a joke! They Suck!!

Posted by wingwalker77 | June 20, 2010 6:05 PM

lol at the boh fangirls in here. i love the first two albums, but the new album blows. boring as shit.

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 6:05 PM

"this shit is gonna be way too crowded to sit on the ground, no?"

that depends. are you one of the annoying assholes who does this at shows anyway?

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 6:21 PM

Is there an offical afterparty for the waterfront show? I want to pick up some horny hipster tang.

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 6:29 PM

Set times for HEALTH?

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 6:55 PM

HEALTH should be so dope

Actually 3:19, you are the dumb dumb speaking without actually having any real information. Every freaking scalping agency had tickets to this. Not to mention ticketmaster had more tickets on sale a few days ago and even today(I happen to have checked). Try to learn how concerts and their sales work in this city before opening up your misinformed trap.

Oh and 4:10, how about not relying on a fucking blog for your information and do what a lot of us do. Take an extra fucking second from what i am sure is a very busy life and look up the different venues schedules yourself

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 8:39 PM

8:39, How about you get off everybody's case? Also, your soap box.

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 9:23 PM

a great thread

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 9:55 PM

the show kind of meh in terms of the music, but the space is pretty chill. the stage faces the water now, rather than the other way around, which kind of sucks, but i'm guessing was done for noise? anyway, good times. boh's new album def sucks, tho. i find grizzly bear to be overrated, personally.

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 10:32 PM

grizzy bear overrrated? surely you jest. you obviously never heard 2 weeks.

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 10:55 PM

fuck you all, you all suck. all bands suck, all music sucks, video games are where its at.

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2010 11:28 PM

Hilarious Band of Horses street teamers up in here. Band of horses are "legends" you say?

Hahahahha. By releasing the same album 3 x?

Grizzly Bear are far more original, and while not the most exciting band in the world, sure as fuck beat out Band of Fucking Horses.

Just listen to the their new album (BOH) and tell me it doesn't suck.
Street teamers need to get a bit more conspicuous

Posted by Anonymous | June 21, 2010 3:54 AM

Posted by Anonymous | June 21, 2010 8:24 AM

Andrew?.....explain! What happened to Andrew at BOH?

HEALTH was amazing as usual last night...

Posted by Anonymous | June 21, 2010 9:10 AM

Andrew tried to jump the baracade, no?

Posted by Anonymous | June 21, 2010 9:15 AM

Wait so the new set up is....the stage is near the entrance now? facing the water? ehhhhh why why why!

Noise complaints? What time did the show end? And aren't most of those new condos right along the water vacant anyway?
