Summerstage officially kicks off their season today with Melody Gardot and The New York Pops in Central Park, and Jay Electronica in Red Hook Park.

It's unfortunate that members of Anthrax now play with members of Fall Out Boy. At least tickets aren't even sold out for tonight's "The Damned Things" show at Knitting Factory.

Lizzy Borden was supposed to play the Bell House tonight, but it was cancelled.

Reggie Watts opens for Conan O'Brien tonight and tomorrow at Radio City Music Hall.

Nellie McKay kicks off her residency at Feinstein's tonight. Tickets are still available for all 14 shows.

That is NOT 45 Grave. That is just dinah cancer with other people playing songs written by Paul B.Cutler, Rob Graves, and Don Bolles.

^Totally agreed. There should be a mathematical formula developed in order to determine whether or not you are allowed to play "reunion" shows using the original band name. Perhaps something like:

Original singer + at least 50% of the remaining original living members (hopefully including the principal songwriter(s)) = Reunion.

Original singer + four bozo hired hands from LA = NO Reunion.

p.s. And if the original members are dead, for goodness sakes, let the band's legacy rest in peace as well.

Anyone know the set times for the Damned Things?

The two songs they put up on myspace are pretty great. Like Bush-era Anthrax.

Was nervous the members from the shittier bands would have more say.

Wonderful post and the location is beautiful and elegant in design and information and everything>>> to Favorites
Amazing is an enormous understatement. One of the best electronic shows I've ever been to and I've seen well over a thousand concerts. I had no idea Vladislav Delay was as good a drummer & percussionist as he is- fabulous and he kept everything swinging with a very unique style of playing. If you missed this you missed out big time...
