Yeasayer @ Governors Island on June 5 (more by Andrew St. Clair)

One Step Beyond, the monthly dance party series at the American Museum of Natural History, is bringing Yeasayer to DJ its next party on June 11th. Also in the house will be Roofeeo and DJ Teenwolf (of Ninjasonik). Tickets are on sale.
Yeasayer play Lollapalooza's Budweiser Stage on Sunday, August 8th at 4pm. Arcade Fire play vs Soundgarden at the fest later that night. Phoenix goes up against Green Day one night earlier. Lady Gaga and the Strokes have competing time slots on the first night. That and more in the just-released Lollapalooza 2010 schedule.
More Yeasayer tour dates are HERE. A video of Yeasayer's Governors Island show is below...

bonnaroo would never do something like put arcade fire up against soundgarden. or strokes vs gaga. thats why these festivals with curfews are not worth going to. you have to miss tons of bands you'd want to see.

So glad I didn't buy tickets to this...How do they pit so many bands with the same fan base against each other??

^^ at least you can admit Lady Gaga and The Strokes have the same fanbase

Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie were really good albums. Got them when they came out, still throw them on at times and think they're great. It saddens me when I hear bands from that era when I was a teenager and hear their new stuff and it's so clear how they've lost it, they sound desperate to recapture a sound/magic that they haven't had in 15 years (holy shit).... And then I realize that is not unlike a lot of us.

you dave haters can go fuck yourselves. bonnaroo 2010 was 4 of the best days of my life. the DMB and JayZ headliners at the main stage were two of the best shows I've ever seen, musically and production speaking. 2011 'roo is going to be amazing. Phish headlining?

they also played at a place called Tramps in april '99 losers. with qotsa. where were you? you guys sound pretty angry? go listen to something hip. whatever the fuck you think that is. why does james iha need to be in the band for them to be good? that makes no sense. so the band changed lineups. oh well.

I wish soundgarden was playing. Its been such a long time since I've heard their tracks. I think they would really make this concert worthwhile.

The BV KATW EP was really good. Its been such a long time since some really good music has been released. If you haven't heard it, then you should definitely pick it up. Its a great listen.
