Charlatans

Third time's the charm? After two previous announced and canceled North American tours, The Charlatans UK will be back -- finally, hopefully -- on these shores supporting the release of the band's 11th album, Who We Touch, which is out September 14 on The End Records.

New York dates are September 11 at Maxwell's, then September 13 at Bowery Ballroom and September 14 at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Tickets to all three NYC area shows go on sale Friday (7/16) at Noon. The Manhattan and Brooklyn shows go on American Express presale Wednesday at noon.

You may remember the longstanding Manchester, UK were most recently supposed to play here last September but had to cancel due to drummer Jon Brookes needing shoulder surgery.  Let's hope these go off without a hitch. Openers for this tour are Australian band Sherlock's Daughter.

All North American tour dates for the Charlatans UK are after the jump.

Can't wait...one of the best kept secrets out of Brittan in the US! Hopefully they will play a Some Friendly show in the USA like they did in Europe!

Is anyone in this band even a licensed physician or in the medical field? Man, I've had enough of these brit-core wannabes!

Being that the Charlatans are more than 20 years old, I think "wantabes" is a gross exaggeration. It really should be countless bands thanking this band for making great influential brit-pop throughout their career. That said, I wish they would have re-scheduled the same dates of this North American tour as the one they canceled. There are loads of disappointed fans who don't even get a re-scheduled date after the cancellation. That is a little sad, but of course this has nothing to do with the great music this band has created. Just bad planning on their booking agents part.

Good times - always up for this show. Great act that keeps putting out quality tracks

"britcore wannabe"? - dude, put the pipe down and slowly move away from your mom's PC.
