DOWNLOAD: The Sword - Tres Brujas (MP3)

The Sword at SXSW (more by Samantha Marble)
The Sword

The Sword will kick it into hyperdrive in October following the release of Warp Riders, the band's new LP due via Kemado on August 24th. Webster Hall gets the look on October 16th and you can get your tickets via AMEX presale on 8/4 or regular sale two days later. Full dates are below.

Produced by Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Isis, etc), Warp Riders is the band's first foray in to concept album territory, "a psychedelic space opera that explores temporal themes of death and rebirth." Word. But does it kick out the jams? Judge for yourself with "Tres Brujas", available for free download above.

Full tour dates for The Sword, as well as some videos, are below.

boring, generic crap from guys who played in a pop punk band at one point before it became cool to be a hessian.

Posted by JT | July 29, 2010 6:30 PM

True, but it's still kinda cool.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2010 6:32 PM

my god they turned into a cock rock band!

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2010 6:33 PM

I'm pretty sure Hessians have been in style since the eighteenth-century.

And I'm pretty sure you're music tastes have changed since high-school too.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2010 6:59 PM

...and I didn't go to high-school because I used "you're" instead of "your."

When you really can't sing, your vocals shouldn't be so clean and up in the mix.

Ugh, what the fuck happened from the first album to this. "...of certain herbs growing all across this land." Really? Some people should not do concept albums.

Fucking hipsters. The Sword Rocks. Go drinka PBR and chill out

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2010 8:06 PM

For real, chill out. You're over-thinking it all. And it's 'cooler' to be pop punk.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2010 8:13 PM

i love the pop punk!

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2010 10:21 PM

I suppose when people don't have their own identity or style then you can dig in the hessian or badly done electro bag.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2010 11:30 PM

yikes, the news song is pretty bad

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2010 11:55 PM
