DOWNLOAD: The Chain Gang of 1974 - Don't Walk Away (MP3)

Denver's Kamtin Mohager is The Chain Gang Of 1974, a one-man band whose retro synthy music is well represented in the atmospheric "Don't Walk Away", the closing track on his recently-released album "White Guts". Download it above.
I also couldn't think of a better first-of-three opener for this Friday night's free show on Governors Island which is being headlined by Caribou and also features Phantogram on the bill...
Caribou & PhantogramIf you miss it, Chain Gang of 1974 can also be caught one night later at Brooklyn Bowl. It's a late show that is also being billed as an "MIA CD Release Party".

Anyone know a good time to get out to governors? I know wristbands are at 5:30, but will a lot of people be there by then? Does a friday mean a later rush than saturday?
If one person goes early could they get two wristbands?

This band seems rad! I guess I'll have to go to the MIA record release show.

Wonderful post and the location is beautiful and elegant in design and information and everything>>> to Favorites
Amazing is an enormous understatement. One of the best electronic shows I've ever been to and I've seen well over a thousand concerts. I had no idea Vladislav Delay was as good a drummer & percussionist as he is- fabulous and he kept everything swinging with a very unique style of playing. If you missed this you missed out big time...
