@6:56 Mainstage sound sucked in general. Second stage was substantially better. People kept telling the sound guy to crank the guitars and lower the bass to no avail.

Marissa from Screaming Females performed a song with Ted Leo. It was incredible. I must know what song that was (a Ted Leo song, i think but can't remember now).

Screaming Females really did steal the show. The best part is that a lot of people in the audience had never heard them before (including several people in my group/around me), yet everyone was going wild for the band after just a few songs. Plus, Marissa played the shit out of her guitar, with several crazy guitar solos.
As for Surfer Blood, yes there were sound problems. The bass was too loud and the guitar was too low. However, the band's set was still disappointing REGARDLESS of these technical issues. First off, while he sounds fine on the record, JP just cannot sing in person/live. Second, when you could hear the guitar, it sounded flat and out of tune. Third, even though it's unfortunate that there were sound problems, a good band should be able to play through adversity, and Surfer Blood could not persevere. And on a minor digression, JP kept complaining about the hot weather--unacceptable for a band from West Palm Beach!
