Delorean

After much hub-bub, the final Jelly Pool Party at the Williamsburg Waterfront of summer 2010 (and possibly ever) went down as planned on Sunday, with a multitude of special guests, and two pre-announced acts. Guests included Gucci Mane, Doug E Fresh, DMC, The Cool Kids, Tim Harrington, Andrew WK and more. Pre-announced bands were Dominique Young Unique and Delorean.

More about the whole day is coming shortly, but in the meantime: Delorean have already announced two more NYC shows because the Spanish band can never stay away long. The new dates are November 21st at Bowery Ballroom and November 24th at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Both shows will be opened by their True Panther lablemate Lemonade, as will their entire November tour that starts in Texas and includes Fun Fun Fun Fest..

Tickets for both new NYC shows will go on sale Friday at noon (with an AmEx presale beginning Wednesday at the same time). All Delorean dates and some more pics from Sunday, below..

How many times has Delorean played NYC this year?! Anyway they might be at Coachella 2011?????

Good old 2011 "fake" posters are coming out....I would be there in a second!

Why do people keep saying RUN DMC? There was no Run. Without Run, there IS no Run DMC. It was sunday. He was preaching somewhere, not spitting lyrics on a stage in Williamsburg.

Pathetic "special" guests! What Jelly couldn't say who it was because those were the special guests lol.....

hang it up already Jelly before you guys go asking for more $$$ from your parents to make it seem like you guys have jobs.

OSC shows, I fully support you this summer....it's been great! Can't wait for Modest Mouse and Pavement!

P.S. Props to Summerstage and Celebrate Brooklyn as well....nice job well done. So much more organized than Jelly will ever be.

@142, that is a very top heavy lineup. I would probably make the trip again if it looks something like that.

Saving your dumb hummus and daft punk jokes here.....

SHUT UP!

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2010 1:49 PM

feel bad for the people who went

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2010 2:00 PM

DMC was kinda depressing...

I'm so glad I left town and went to the AmRep Anniversary Bash---special guests my ass. Where was Reverend Run?

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2010 2:07 PM

entitlement issues much? stay classy brooklyn!

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2010 2:09 PM

dmc has speaking issues, like really shaky

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2010 2:34 PM

I hope not annoouncing "special guests" sold out final pool show ever!

P.S. really though for the people that went, was it even full?!

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2010 2:35 PM

i cant wait to see the butt shaking pictures... whoa daddy that was disgusting

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2010 2:35 PM

Those special guests were amazing.

GUCCI MANE? Are you kidding? Get over yourselves and have a good time, Brooklyn. He's silly and great.

The Cool Kids are one of the best rap groups out.

Doug E Fresh? DMC? It's sad they had to play for a bunch of unappreciative kids. With out those two guys, hip hop as we know it would have never existed.

The last Pool Party's lineup was so poorly planned. I feel like they just thought, "Oh, Cool Kids, Gucci, DMC are all hip hop acts. Let's just put them together." It's like having Kid Rock open for Robert Plant just because they both (kid of) rock bands. I with BK Vegan had a shot of Schumer's face during the butt dances.

DMC is a legend. Rev Run is insane.

Posted by guuuurrrrllll | August 30, 2010 2:49 PM

Anyone else remember DMC mispronouncing Kurt Cobain's name as "Corbain?"

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2010 2:56 PM

don't remember the "corbain" gaffe... though i did think it was hilarious when he asked who the greatest rapper ever is, and someone yelled out "wu-tang!"

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2010 2:59 PM

So pathetic....

http://gothamist.com/2010/08/30/fox_news_does_williamsburg.php

when will hipsters go back to Ohio?

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2010 3:04 PM

Big Freeedia was DEFINITELY the highlight of the show.

its kinda sad when the loudest cheers are for a gay/trans rapper shaking his booty.

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2010 3:07 PM

Delorean were great, cant wait to see them in November...

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2010 3:54 PM

i left immediately after delorean but i think they were worth the trip alone. had a great time no use looking any further into it than that.

Posted by tim cahill | August 30, 2010 4:04 PM

Dolorean > Delorean

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2010 4:26 PM

Despite their short set, the Cool Kids fucking turned it out.

Also, the DJs were hit-or-miss, but they played an insane remix of Outkast's "Skew It on the Bar-B."

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2010 4:36 PM

^ yeah it was a mashup of outkast and crystal castles. thought it was awesome

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2010 4:49 PM

NO HUMMUS FACTORY AT GROUND ZERO!

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2010 4:54 PM

Fun show. Not too exciting, but fun. Delorean's band was good, vocals sounded off. Cool Kids were dull. Big Freedia was fun. DMC was a little sad, although "Tricky" with Andrew WK and Tim Harrington was the highlight of the show.

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2010 5:02 PM

Great show!

Posted by Patur | August 31, 2010 9:04 AM

when i was 12, my best friend's father had not one but two deloreans. they had money and they had a little parking lot for their 5 cars. their parents were nuts and let us do whatever they wanted. the father used to ask us to move the deloreans for him. he even let us drive them around a little. boy was that great.

Posted by Anonymous | August 31, 2010 11:36 AM

^wow, aren't you special!

Posted by Anonymous | August 31, 2010 11:43 AM

@1:42

that would be the best Coachella. first time all 3 headliners are worth a damn, solid acts from top to bottom, almost all of the acts have never played, and no guido superstar trance dj's. godspeed, sparks, acid mothers temple, pulp, kayo dot, poe, birdy nam nam, george clinton would never play tho.
