Louis CK

""Your father's dead," but the good news is that FX has renewed Louis C.K.'s half-hour comedy/cringe-fest Louie for 13 more episodes. Oh, joy! Rapture! Television has a brain! Way to go, FX (F--ing Xcellent). At the risk of sounding insensitive, this news makes me want to party down. (Too soon? Yes.)" [EW]
I second that "Oh, joy"! And tickets go on sale at 11am for a November 4th Louis CK show at Carnegie Hall (part of the New York Comedy Festival).

P.S. I noticed you can watch the whole first season of "Louie", free on FX demand if you have Time Warner cable. You don't even need to DVR it. Check it out!

P.S.S. Joanna Newsom is playing Carnegie Hall too

FX is seriously amazing for comedy. always sunny, the league (never watch the NFL or play fantasy football but i think it's really funny and great after always sunny), archer, now louie. watching those shows i sometimes can't even believe they're on tv (especially always sunny).

The Mom double date ep was hilarious!
I die even watching the intro credits.
The Poker table gay discussion...
And the terrible shrink...
Brutal!

Um, I must be watching a completely different show.

The Louie CK has some moments during his stand-up but that show is total crap and completely unwatchable.

The guy is the definition of overrated.

louie is tremendous. it has influences (seinfeld's stand up bits/curb's cringe) but its so unlike anything else on tv.

louis writes, directs, produces and edits the show. who the f has ever edited their own live action show? it looks amazing but its very DIY, which is way up my alley. i hope people watch it so it sticks around for a while.
