Spectre Folk
Spectre Folk

Spectre Folk, comprised of Pete Nolan (Magik Markers), Peter Meehan (NY Times food writer), and Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth), have a new video for the atmospheric "Burning Bridge" from their late 2009 LP Compass, blanket, lantern, mojo. Check out the water-filled clip starring a nameless young boy, directed by Pax Stabile, for the very first time, below...

Spectre Folk - "Burning Bridge"

Spectre Folk have no upcoming shows at the moment, but Steve's band-mate Lee Ranaldo plays with Text of Light at Le Poisson Rouge on Thursday, September 2nd. The gig comes ahead of this weekend's ATP NY festival where Text of Light, Thurston Moore, Hallogallo 2010 (with Steve in the band), and Sonic Youth will all perform separate sets.

Better make sure a lot of people show up, if not Pete Nolan will count them and if there aren't enough to make his ego feel good he'll cut the show short.
