At Death by Audio...

.byrds of paradise
..whatever brains
...ex-humans
....weed hounds
.....sleepies

Weed Hounds are more interesting than their name might suggest. Kinda poppy '90s shoegaze.

Prop 8 overturned!

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 4:51 PM

Anyone know if MSG allows SLR's? The only venue I know that prohibits them is The Fillmore, but that's because Live Nation is a bitch.

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 5:02 PM

"Anyone know if MSG allows SLR's?"

Here is a crazy thought: what about going to a concert and not watching it from behind a viewfinder. It's a concert!

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 5:07 PM

That is a crazy thought!

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 5:14 PM

I am curious about that, too. I would be able to snap some sick shots from my floor seats tonight with the zoomy zoom. Anyone?

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 5:18 PM

What's a viewfinder?

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 5:19 PM

enough with the cameras. there are too many as it is.

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 5:21 PM

yay prop 8 overturned!!

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 5:25 PM

Leave the photography to the people behind the barricade and enjoy them later online. Watch the show. I love watching the backs of peoples iphones. Do they really think their flash is going to travel 5000 yards?

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 5:30 PM

"Do they really think their flash is going to travel 5000 yards?"

hahaa, i always get a kick out of that too. bunch of dipshits.

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 5:33 PM

Tim Finn at City Winery.

Don't you guys know everyone is an amatuer photog nowadays...

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 5:48 PM

didn't realize how ugs Britt Daniel is.

yay prop 8 overturned!

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 5:54 PM

No telephoto or zoom lenses allowed at MSG. Might try to sneak in a f/1.4 to take photos of all the haters in the dark.

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 6:06 PM

Owen Pallet = 8-8:30
Spoon = 8:45-9:45
Arcade Fire = 10:15-11:45

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 6:12 PM

rother with weird diff concert name at maxwells! should be an adventure. worth paying for even if its the same show as friday. i think so at least. lets travel to negativland by path train yall

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 6:17 PM

My favorite kind of hot chip is the kind that is made of pita bread and comes out of my oven to accompany a fresh bowl of hummus.

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 8:28 PM

^ahahahaha.

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 9:02 PM

MY MAN, BRITTY CENT!

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 9:14 PM

Yeah. Enough with the cameras already. You are not getting any worthwhile photos at MSG. I can understand an apeshit show at a small venue, but at a seated arena?

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2010 10:52 PM

Amen to the camera nonsense. I fucking HATE people who insist on filming half the show on their god damned iPhones or taking SHIT photos on their fucking Blackberrys. I am SICK to fucking DEATH of having to stare through the viewfinder of a fucking cameraphone that is hoisted in front of my face every time I go to a concert. Newsflash: that picture you just took looks like a piece of shit. And the quality isn't going to get any better the more fucking photos you take. Put your god damned phone down & watch the fucking band on the fucking god damn stage IN FRONT OF YOU!!!! Then tomorrow, you can take the 0.2 seconds to do a Google search to find professional images of the show you were just at & post them on your fucking Facebook or MySpace or Friendster or whatever the fuck stupid "page" you have. B/c your friends don't want to see your shitty fucking cameraphone pictures just like the people behind you don't want to see your god damned pictures as you take them over & over & over again.

Let's rise up & stop this bullshit!!!

Who's with me?!?

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2010 12:35 AM

beach fossils, man!!!

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2010 1:02 AM

The Arcade Fire played one of the best shows I've seen all year......glad to see them back and happy that Win and the band were having a great time.

Posted by Jonny Greenwood is the man | August 5, 2010 1:21 AM

that arcade fire show was unreal.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2010 1:42 AM

12:35 - I'm with you. I had one of those dipshits in front of me tonight at AF; hoisting his pos point and shoot over his head for about 50% of the show, blocking plenty of views behind him, all so some shitty video
can pop up on youtube tomorrow.

guess it's not enough that tomorrow's show is being professionally recoded.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2010 2:00 AM

I never thought in a million years I would say this.....but Arcade Fire at MSG was one of the best things I've seen in years. I am still reeling and still thinking about how fucking amazing it was.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2010 2:00 AM

show of the year.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2010 2:02 AM

I'll be avoiding BV for the next few days in hopes of missing all the sloppy Arcade Fire fellating in the comments section.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2010 2:04 AM

"yay prop 8 overturned!!"

But the judge stayed his own ruling while it is appealed.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2010 2:34 AM

The Arcade Fire was majestic.

Posted by Tumbleweed | August 5, 2010 2:46 AM

Hot Chip tried but failed last night....the sound at Summerstage is TOO LOW....ruined the party really.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2010 5:25 AM

AF blew my mind last night, holy shit that was a good show

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2010 8:44 AM

how much was the AF show btw? did it sell out? went to hot chip and it was great, very fun but yes the sound was too low.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2010 9:24 AM
