if you want people to think you're a super cool scenester, go to any of those other shows.

future islands was hoooorible. the only semi good performance was lee fields

and yeah there was barely anyone there, especially by the time !!! played

PE was great. got there as the gates opened and got right in. by the time i get to arizona with a live bass groove was so cool. blitz the ambassador was awful though. wish sons of berserk had replaced him

PE was okay. They could have been amazing and the experience still would've been "okay" because of how truly awful the openers were. Blitz or whatever mumbled most of his lyrics and in one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen at a concert, two other "bands" came out to play 5 minute medleys of their "songs". The first included a man decked out in what I think was face paint and the second were dudes in suits and ties who rapped about Burger King and pencils and were promptly BOOED off the stage. With all that said, It was pouring and I left halfway through.

Ended up catching almost all of !!!. They were outstanding.

issue project room kicked ass!!!! lots of musicians in the house checking this show out. The rain forced it indoors after just a couple minutes of the first band's set but it all worked out for the better. A great night.
