Chrissie Hynde on tour - 2010 dates, NYC tonight

Chrissie Hynde's new band didn't take very long to get things going. After playing some of their first shows over the summer, at random venues like Brooklyn Bowl for free, and Rockwood Music Hall and the Apple Store, JP, Chrissie & the Fairground Boys are now on a proper North American tour that hits Irving Plaza in NYC tonight (9/25). Tickets cost almost $50. All dates below...

This new band is just public therapy for Hynde, and in concert is pretty tedious. I saw 'em this summer at a festival and it was not worth the time I spent.

I'm inclined to indulge her but this guy she's banging is a BORE and so is the music. There will never be another first two Pretenders albums.

3:22--I was also so inclined, which is why I went. But I agree that dude is a colossal fucking bore! I don't even care if she plays stuff from the first two Pretenders albums.

saw her at the apple store. didn't really enjoy it, although it was free. saw her with the "pretenders" (except not) last year at summerstage for $10. was worth it. this isn't.

as long as martin chambers is drumming, it is still the pretenders.
the third album was great too with the second line-up. otherwise, albums since the mid 80's have pretended.
