Cloud Cult

"Cloud Cult are excited to announce their fall headlining tour in support of their new full-length album - Light Chasers - due out September 14th on Earthology Records. The record is the band's first new studio release in more than two years and critics are already weighing in favorably with Pitchfork [who gave the album a 5.4] calling the album "...epic, millennial indie rock..." and John Richards from KEXP saying that Light Chasers is "the best thing Cloud Cult has ever done, which is saying a lot as everything they've done so far is near perfection." [PR]
Cloud Cult kick off the first leg of their tour September 9th in Northfield, MN. They then take almost a month off before heading out east for shows in Boston, Philly, The Bell House in Brooklyn (October 29th) (no tickets yet (on sale now)) and Le Poisson Rouge in Manhattan (October 30th) (tickets). All dates below...

i have no idea who this band is but they are lucky the internet is there, because no one would buy this if they saw it in a store.

Awful cover

They're all pretty bad. Good band though. Wait, a 5.4 from pitchfork is considered 'favorable'?

Maybe without the little floating people it might not be bother as many peeps.

I didn't really know the back story on this band until recently , just listened to their records every now and again.

Not sure if it's because I have more of an understanding of the history of this band, but I love this new record. Haven't gelled with every single cut, but it's very touching stuff imho. Looking forward to seeing this performed live.

news flash! pitchfork is a very pretentious website!

Trying to choose between seeing them at the Bell House or La Poisson Rouge. never been to either, anyone have any suggestions?

Bell House is the ticket. This record though, unlike previous recordings, exceptionally blows.

Im sorry i dont frequently become enraged, but the shear fact that you are judging a band off their album cover is absolutely absurd. Another thing is that cloud cult is the most brilliant band to ever make music, both lyrically and instrumentally, and if you dont enjoy them i just have pity for you. It also confirms my belief that the world is filled with ignorant fools, even the people who claim to be on the inside edge of thought. I apologize for my bias statements, but please dont be so quick to judge
