DOWNLOAD: El Guincho - "Bombay" (MP3)

El Guincho

El Guincho is here, and will play Mercury Lounge TONIGHT (9/28, tickets) as part of what is now a FOUR night stand in NYC.

Wednesday night at Santos (9/29) El Guincho will appear as part of "NYC tropical dance party" Que Bajo?! with Uproot Andy & Geko Jones. Thursday (9/30) will see El Guincho descend upon Zebulon while Friday (10/1) will bring the Spanish artist to Cameo Gallery with Ablehearts (tickets).

Left coasters need not be jealous of NYC's "quatro Guincho", as he'll shoot straight to the westside to do a three night stand in LA next week (10/6 at La Cita, 10/7 at Standard, and 10/8 at Spaceland) before capping it all off at the Elbo Room in San Francisco on 10/9.

Besides his freshly released LP Pop Negro via Younk Turks/XL, El Guincho also has a MOVIE on the way entitled Bombay, which is the same name as the first track on the new album which the film is accompaniment to. Download that track above, and dig on the very NSFW trailer for the film, as well as all tour dates below...

Loved the first album, not quite sure WTF is going on with the new album. I loved the psych/trop/groove, not these cheesy breezy ironic tunes.

El Guincho puts on a fantastic dance party of a show. Curious to see how his new slow-paced album will go over tonight.

kinda sad he didn't gig at LPR again. that place is the perfect format for his music, open space, easy to dance. mercury was fun, but stuffed.

you need room to enjoy this music and shake!

you think santos is like another go on stage at 2am kinda thing?

anytime i've seen bands at santos, it ends up being suuuuper late, and i'm too zombie to really get into it.
