Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 9:12 PM

Thank you. Now I don't have to go to Chicago for the show.

Posted by Fortyver | September 22, 2010 9:13 PM

No, because Godspeed isn't that one thing that Pavement are.... boring.

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 9:14 PM

Still during SXSW.

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 9:44 PM

I bet people who bought to sell on stubhub are pissed...

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 10:18 PM

the best!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 10:26 PM

I like turtles

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 10:28 PM

Seems like GODspeed only plays at churches and temples?

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 10:29 PM

what the hell godspeed? why are you rewarding your casual fans who refused to buy tickets for the first shows?

now instead of having tickets to nyc's opening godspeed night, i have night 2 of 4. that's the least special night of them all.

a band should reward its loyal fans and send the rest to the scalpers. you didnt do that. its disgusting.

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 10:42 PM

@10:42- douche- stfu

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 10:48 PM

10:42

It's absolute dickwad hipster snobs like you who make attending shows in this city an embarrassing ordeal.

Please do us all a favor and never go see anything ever again.

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 10:57 PM

anyone in a band playing sxsw still can't attend.

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 10:59 PM

@10:42 If you are such a fan you should be happy to see them at all, unlike 95% of the country who won't be able to. Dick.

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 11:02 PM

Pretty sure there's a bigger tour coming. Hang in there, people of the rest of the country!

Will try to get me some tickets. Yum, yum.

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 11:10 PM

hey whats up with fag island? oh thats right...godspeed is coming and no one gives a shit about that crap band

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 11:13 PM

kinda hope they don't do a huge us tour. keeps the shows specials.

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 11:13 PM

Ha, Ha, well done 10:42 - 3 idiots took you seriously.

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 11:19 PM

"i have night 2 of 4. that's the least special night of them all."

If 2002 is any indication, they don't change setlists between shows.

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 11:26 PM

@11:26
>implying the setlist is what I care about

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 11:43 PM

10:42=Douche of the day. You obviously have no idea what is actully special about live music you tool.

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2010 11:48 PM

a band should reward its loyal fans with access to the backstage VIP hummus trough between sets.

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 12:04 AM

i've never had VIP hummus. what is the difference between that and non-VIP hummus?

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 12:32 AM

i dont have tix to this but night 2 of 4 anything owns, what the hell. no venue shakiness or sound problems. stretchin out without being bored of it.

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 1:33 AM

I went to Middle Eastaly, that new food-market and got some DOC Hummus. The guys that made it had just been flown in and didn't speak any English! The hummus was unlike anything I'd ever tasted. Texturally speaking it was like a dream- a dream where I was eating hummus, of course!

Anyhow, although 10:42 wouldn't know good hummus if it bit him on his tuckus, you have to admit that there is no total escape of elitism in the music scene. Would you want to watch your favorite band alone in a room? No. Do you want to watch that band with a thousand strangers who don't even like that band? No. Probably, you want to see that band with a thousand you's- a thousand people who love and cherish that band exactly the same way you do.

So in a way, you do want that music to yourself. It's inherent to the way we bond with music.

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 1:39 AM

Good band who played the rest of the country many times ten years ago. Better question is what happened to Set Fire To Flames on alien 8?

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 4:19 AM

Ask any jam band fan: you do not want to go to night 1 of any multi night stand.

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 7:28 AM

Im going to San Francisco to see this show, so happy I wont have to deal with NYC bullshit for Godspeed!

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 7:47 AM

"Im going to San Francisco to see this show, so happy I wont have to deal with NYC bullshit for Godspeed!"

kindly define "nyc bullshit"

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 9:20 AM

Nice. Now I can do the usual St. Patty's day thing!

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 9:57 AM

7:28 AM: JAM BANDS FUCKING SUCK AND SO DO THEIR FANS.

I'm glad that 2 shows got added, it was pretty disappointing that tickets sold out so quickly.

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 10:25 AM

The difference between Godspeed and a jam band is razor thin.

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 10:53 AM

Just wait until they announce a Terminal 5 show and these churches/temples will look a lot better by comparison

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 12:01 PM

Do you think I will be able to get 3 for $10 tix like at Pavement?

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 12:40 PM

1:39--That is the fakest hummus comment ever. Give up, because you will never be able to write a real hummus comment.

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 12:40 PM

No night one is cool because there is some enthusiasm and novelty. Once that wears off you can get stuck with some lackluster jams.

Posted by anonymous2 | September 23, 2010 12:42 PM

night one is cool since that's the first night and there's the enthusiasm.

night three is cool because that's the first night in the manhattan church venue and there's the enthusiasm.

night four is cool because that's the last night of the NYC shows and there's the enthusiasm.

night two is the worst. I agree with 10:42 that he got screwed.

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 12:57 PM

It's happened to me a zillion times: A band announces a show, I hop on it immediately and get a ticket, it sells out fast and then the artist schedules another one the night before what was supposed to be show #1. By the time my show rolls around, they're even out of t-shirts half the time. Bogus!

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 1:07 PM

awesome now i cant feel special about going to a show that sold out fast.

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 5:41 PM

hahahaha, what is wrong with yall you have ocd. the enthusiasm? really? the difference between any night in a multi night stand is so minuscule, even moreso when you're actually in a band THAT CAN AND HAS DONE THAT, i'm guessing. glad im not going to any of these i dont want to catch CrazyNerd...

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 6:04 PM

"night two is the worst. I agree with 10:42 that he got screwed"

And to top it off, night two is in Brooklyn. At least it's a nice part of Brooklyn and not a ghetto like Bushwick.

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2010 6:10 PM
