people thought MIAs harsh noise rock sounded bad at Governors Island...wait until its magnified 100fold inside the cemement monolith, and universally agreed upon as defeaningly bad audio Terminal 5

I hope nobody actually believed that MIA was gonna keep her word and do a free show in NY... There is more chance of it raining hummus.

cloudy with a chance of hummus!

mon·o·lith (mn-lth)
n.
1. A large block of stone, especially one used in architecture or sculpture.
2. Something, such as a column or monument, made from one large block of stone.
3. Something suggestive of a large block of stone, as in immovability, massiveness, or uniformity.

cement monolith? you can do better.

Hey Redundat Po Po,

Man, how pedantic. You go to the trouble of citing dictionary definitions to make someone feel dumb; meanwhile, you misspell "redundant."

Stuff it, dude.

what about MIA perfume and handbag line.

What is with the hate? New album has at least three tracks that will blow up on the radio and the Governor's Island show was dope.

I'm ok w cement monolith. pretty apt description.

"deafeningly bad audio" not if you have a good sound engineer. PIL
sounded fantastic last May.

9:39 - first time reading bv?

Posted by Anonymous | September 7, 2010 9:47 PM

Yeah, actually it is my first time, why? Seems like this site gives a lot of info but people are a little negative. Maybe it is just MIA is divisive?

i don't think in any way shape or form that maya is powerful enough to be reigning in any kind of arena stage. she barely makes it out alive on the bigger stage festivals. she's so much better when she's confined to a small club like space and uses the whole of it to her advantage. glad she's ignoring america. hopefully she will pay more attention to britain and the rest of europe.

Everyone hates her now

Few years ago she sold out the McCarren Park Pool super quickly

These days, I'd be surprised if her Terminal 5 date sells out at all

Posted by Anonymous | September 8, 2010 12:27 PM

A. I love bummer town.

B. MIA is no Kim Gordon so if Kim goes on Gossip Girl or poses for Marc Jacobs anything is forgiven. MIA is like an ice cream sunday that serves 10 people that you want all to your self. You look at it and think mmmm I am so hungry and then ten bites in you never want to eat ice cream ever again and you are throwing up into the toilet.

hat said, I second Steve on the formatting issue. The page looks rather confusing on Firefox. Also a bunch of the file names are just plain wrong and that adds up on the confusing part. Lot of work parsing a working skeleton out of the instruction here, but I guess it wasn’t all for the worse: it did force me to study how the plugins really work much more than a working tutorial would’ve. :
