No word yet on whether Iggy Pop will definitely be there, but Mick Rock will take your picture Friday at the Varvatos store, though there's a catch. Second half of the flyer below...

Start a band, and this site will write about you (pics included) for free....well, atleast pics of all the fine ladies at the show, the parking garage or the sweet merch girl.

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2010 3:33 PM

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2010 3:44 PM

doesnt say much for the photo business.

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2010 3:46 PM

Can you then return this shit on Saturday morning?

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2010 3:52 PM

no, you will get the photo 31 days after. just in time for the return policy to expire.

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2010 3:57 PM

That is so punk rock. Bowery 4 ever.

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2010 5:07 PM

Boy, John Varvatos is really in the business of co-opting anything and anyone Rock n Roll cool he can get his hands on and ruining the experience.

He basically befriends these stars and then uses them to sell his overpriced clothing.

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2010 5:09 PM

MEHck Rock.

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2010 5:11 PM

funny thing this Varvatos does.....

He rents out the shell of CBGB, to 'protect it's legacy' then he throws exclusive invite only parties with Rock Star friends and doesn't allow any real fans in.

So explain to me how the average fan is any better off then if this was a bank or a Drugstore?

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2010 5:12 PM

It would actually be better if it was a drugstore, then you actually get in on Saturday Night.

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2010 5:14 PM

Varvatos tries soooooo hard to be cool, surrounding himself and using these iconic Rock Stars and an iconic building for his fashion marketing.

Irony is John Varvatos is everything wrong about Rock n Roll.

He is the full living embodiment of what's currently wrong with Rock.

Fake , overly expensive lifestyle fashion, phony punk clothes, , exclusive, invite-only concerts do not give him any points on the credibility scale.

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2010 5:26 PM

Anyone who is plunking down three hundred dollars for John Varvatos merchandise probably doesn't know who Mick Rock is anyway.

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2010 5:30 PM

^and I also know from inside sources that John Varvatos doesn't much care for hummus. The man is WHACK!

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2010 5:31 PM

Anal Cunt will be the opening band for Iggy

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2010 5:32 PM

varvatos, fuck off and die. you are everything wrong with "punk" and rock music.

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2010 5:45 PM

remember the time when this store was a real club and anyone could go in and have a good time and see a band?

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2010 5:50 PM

invite only Rock shows at expensive clothing stores that used to be public clubs are what gets me up in the morning.

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2010 5:52 PM
