Champaign, IL quartet Elsinore will be in town Friday (9/10) playing Union Hall with The Art of Shooting and My Other Friend. It's a CD release party for the band's second album, Yes Yes Yes, which is out on Parasol Records. Two years in the making, Yes Yes Yes is gorgeous orch-pop, that is both bombastic and featherlight. If you like Death Cab for Cutie or The Format (or Todd Rundgren or ELO), do yourself a favor and check out the album. If they can pull off the record's widescreen sound -- and swoon-worthy harmonies -- in a live setting, that would certainly be something worth seeing.
