Sleigh Bells at HARD NYC (more by Matthew Eisman)

The last time we caught the duo Sleigh Bells they were sharing the stage with a none-too-happy M.I.A. and the Gummo-bounce of Die Antwoord at Hard NYC on Governor's Island (photos here, here, and here).
The band will be at Wellmont on 9/23 as part of their tour supporting LCD Soundsystem (tickets), but also just announced a headlining show at The Studio at Webster Hall three days earlier (9/20). The show is part of "MTV's Live in NYC" series and tickets are on sale now.

Shouldn't these people be playing Warped Tour now? How about a tour with Fall Out Boy?

One of the most unbearable live acts i've ever seen.

while i do like a sleigh bells listen here and there (and still think their EP stuff is better than anything on the new album), the idea of going to Webster Hall, for a hipster shower, w MTV filming is frankly appalling.
a blackhole could open up for the night and no one would miss what would be sucked in.

1:26 agreed... i like the album, tho i'm ashamed to admit it, but the crowd at their shows are probably among the most annoying in NYC
Posted by Anonymous | September 3, 2010 1:27 PM
picked up one. figure it's worth seeing them for the sake of seeing them at a venue this size for that price.
Posted by Anonymous | September 3, 2010 1:29 PM
i really hope this isn't the night of the secret small venue pavement show.

Posted by Anonymous | September 3, 2010 4:15 PM
I think they are releasing more and more on a rolling basis.

this band should change its name to MOM ARMS

they played at this same venue about a a year and a half ago. With Kap Bambino. It was funny see the awkwardness of the Sleigh Bells singer followed by the very awesome Caroline Martial from Kap Bambino. That Sleigh Bells has supporters is surprising.

I saw them at coachella at the beginning of the summer and all I remember was some guy kinda shredding to some nitendo beats while some girl was screeching. It was probably the worst set of the fest.

they're playing a really small place in albany at the end of the month, too.
Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2010 7:04 PM
this band is bad but I'd bang her.
Posted by Wally | September 4, 2010 9:45 PM
They played for 15 minutes at Coachella.

This band is obviously ahead of their time. As usual, the masses don't get true musical genius!
