Us Weekly, with host Mary J. Blige, honored the 25 Most Stylish New Yorkers of 2010. The magazine says its list "celebrates the 25 quintessential New York celebs who make the city so uniquely chic."

Most Stylish New Yorker Mary J. Blige hosted the evening, which honored Katie Couric, Will Arnett, Olivia Munn, Rachael Ray, Iman, Kelly Rutherford, Kristin Chenoweth, Bethenny Frankel, George Stephanopoulos, Beth Ostrosky Stern, Scott Disick, Gail Simmons, Kelly Cutrone, MSNBC anchor and Today Show contributor Tamron Hall, Olivia Palermo, Alexis Bledel, Swizz Beatz, Yaya DaCosta, Simon Doonan, Jonathan Adler, Vampire Weekend, bloggers The Sartorialist Scott Schuman & Garance Doré, DJ Kiss, Lisa Capparelli, and club owners Richie Akiva and Scott Sartiano. -[Fox]

While the popped-collar-and-boat-shoe crew was being honored in one part of town, they were filling the hallowed halls of Radio City Music Hall with their African-inspired rhythms last night (9/15) as part one of a three night stay at the venue which continues tonight 9/16, and tomorrow, 9/17. Dum Dum Girls and Beach House had their backs last night, as they will for the next two. Tickets are still available to tonight's show.

In other news, Ezra of Vampire Weekend appears on a new iTunes-only track by Chromeo from their out-now Business Casual LP. Stream that track under the rest of the Radio City pictures, below.

"So turns out that Beach House is an incredible live band"

people need to wake up, theyve been a great live band since the start

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 10:12 AM

What time did Vampire Weekend come on?

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 10:14 AM

Vampire Weekend went on around 10p

Beach House sounded SO amazing in that room - i was chills all over...

VW put on a great show - they deserve the success! Sounded awesome - tons of energy - rockin' light show (was off beat here and there) -

the crowd was awful...but what do you expect...i wonder if they would have half as many douchey fans if they didn't have "vampire" in their name...

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 10:18 AM

wish i could justify buying tickets just to see beach house at RCMH- i find the sound in there to be almost unmatched by any NYC venues.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 10:18 AM

this is madness

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 10:20 AM

1) I bet the average age at the show was 17
2) Beach House are terrible live (walked past them during Pitchfork this year and I had to walk the other way cause it sounded so bad)
3) When will VW go away finally?

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 10:20 AM

4) you suck donkey dick.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 10:25 AM

@10:20

points 1 and 3 are valid. point 2 is a fail.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 10:32 AM

@10:20 wow, hater.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 10:37 AM

If anything, Beach House is stylish, what with their all black outfits.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 10:37 AM

Can someone give the set times please.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 10:42 AM

Dum Dum - 8
Beach House - 9
Vampire Wknd - 10

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 10:46 AM

DDG were fairly decent, considering the place was maybe 1/50th full when they went on. They're not ready to be playing places this big. But they were awright.

Beach House, they were pretty solid, this coming from someone who wasn't a big fan coming in. Definitely will check out their stuff closer.

VW . . . y'know, they're very fine musicians. Pleasant stage performers. And the songs for the most part, love them or hate them, are catchy to varying degrees. But . . . they're just so . . . precise. They're a step away from being antiseptic. One thing I will say in their stead is the songs from "Contra" definitely come across great live, better than the album (which is just too precious-sounding for me).

Considering I snagged a ticket on Stubhub for $8 in row MM the night before the show, overall a fucking bargain. Decent night out in a great venue.

Posted by soysalami | September 16, 2010 10:47 AM

saw Beach House at prospect park-extremely weak

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 10:49 AM

Something that you hatin d-bags out there ought to know is if you see a band once and think they weren't that good, chances are they had a shitty show. Maybe the sound tech(s) sucked, maybe the venue sucked. Don't write good bands off so fast out of bitter spite and sheer jealousy. Drip drip drip

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 11:15 AM

beach house were great at webster hall. great at prospect.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 11:17 AM

you cannot say that beach house were good from the beginning. they used to be an awful live band. they have gotten much better since releasing the new album. that said, their recorded output is pretty fabulous.

Posted by jan jansson | September 16, 2010 11:22 AM

How many good albums does Vampire Weekend need to make before the jokes about them being a joke subside? More than two I suppose.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 11:37 AM

Beach House were great at the Bell House, too. I wish they were playing a NYC gig other than RCMH.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 11:41 AM

Hey 10:32, whats that I smell? I think its called sarcasm

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 11:41 AM

Now pause the movie cos what i'm about to say to ya'll is so damn twisted,
Not only is there a man in his cabinet, but the man... is a MIDGET!

MIDGET

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 11:58 AM

hey 11:37, depends how many more of the same songs/albums they are going to make. bands evolve, but vampy weeky doesn't. they can't keep covering paul simon or trying to sound like AnCo. 0% original

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 12:03 PM

They covered Bruce. I'm going down.......

Vampire Garbage

Posted by John Oatess | September 16, 2010 12:49 PM

Yeah, Vampire Weekend definitely brought it and put it on a great show. It wouldn't win over any of their non-fans, but for people who enjoy their music, it was pretty damn fun.

Instead of lambasting them for going mainstream, how about being thankful that, for once, one of the good guys got big?

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 1:29 PM

"Sytlish"? Come on BV. You're better than that...

No, actually they're not.

Posted by anonymous | September 16, 2010 1:40 PM

Going Mainstream? Weren't they always mainstream? They didn't have anyone fooled for a second.

Posted by John Oatess | September 16, 2010 1:45 PM

Vampire Weekend is a perfect example of an excellent band that people have come to hate simply because they got a ton of younger fans in the past year and now are no longer part of the exclusive "indie" scene you pathetic individuals all fondle yourselves over.

I haven't seem them live in quite some time, last time was at the Bowery, and they were AWESOME. You dicks need to get over yourselves and stop using music as a fashion accessory. 2+ years ago, you'd all be falling over eachother for a chance to see them live, like any other trendy act. And you all were 17 once too, so chill out.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 4:08 PM

^^ i agree. not a huge VW fan but the hate on younger fan bases is so dumb. all ages shows are usually so much more fun to play. much more enthusiastic crowds.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 4:37 PM

hey would i stick out like a sore thumb if my mom came with me? im 12..should i have her wear hat and glasses?

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 4:41 PM

I'm 12 and what is this?

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 5:01 PM

Beach House was the best show I saw at Pitchfork 2010. They are seriously good live.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 5:48 PM

9/16 10:20 Sounds like you just hate music in general, so why bother? Go back to watching sports.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 5:50 PM

9/16 2:25 agreed. Their best quality is the omnipresent striped tights. But she needs a new pair.

^^Torn stockings = sexy

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 7:45 PM

I am just jealous of degrees from Columbia.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 7:46 PM

You could walk around downtown NYC on any given day and pass by 50 peoples who's shit has more style than the aforementioned 25 assholes.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 9:12 PM

I'd really like to know how many of these so called "Brooklynites" are actually from Brooklyn?! Honestly...go back to Iowa or Ohio or wherever the hell you are from. If you're going to talk about being a poser...MOVE OUT OF BROOKLYN! it's sooooo 1998..duh! Besides...didn't your mother ever teach you anything? If you don't have something nice to say...don't say anything at all...mostly because no one gives a shit.

P.S...VW was absolutely AMAZING.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 9:20 PM

Why do people always leave out the other shitbag east coast states when they're trying to make a point about NYC transplants? For every tool from the midwest, there's about 10 dipshits from Connecticut or Jersey.

Know your surroundings.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2010 10:13 PM

I was there on the 15th. Absolutely. Epic.

Posted by Joe | September 17, 2010 9:54 AM

Why's everybody hating? you don't like Vampire Weekend don't comment you little fucks. Pretty sure you got better things to do then comment on blogs and play WoW. get a fuckin life

Posted by Anonymous | September 18, 2010 1:14 PM

Ugh... if this band were playing the same two records at dive bars instead of concert halls, you would all be singing their praises. Beach House is a perfect example of this... the "lowly" opener, just chic enough to say "well at least Beach House opened, it wasn't a total travesty." Dudes... Beach House has no staying power whatsoever. You are giving yourselves away by hating on VW while giving props to that reverb-soaked synth-fad bullshit. That's all you people latch on to... fads. They all disappear from your radar one way or another, whether you reject them ruthlessly using super-calculated reasoning or just forget about them altogether. But it's OK -- Ezra's had plenty of time to make fun of you guys in quite a few of his songs. Wonder if that has anything to do with it?

Posted by Anonymous | September 18, 2010 1:20 PM

PS: Beach House put on a great set! I'm just using them as an example to show you all that you're nothing but self-absorbed, pretentious, tragically-illogical posers.

Posted by Anonymous | September 18, 2010 1:26 PM

PPS: Is it also still cool to be a vegan? 'Cause I'm making some lamb chops and veal today. Figured I'd invite you all to come by and eat some delicious mass-slaughtered factory-made farm animals.

Posted by Anonymous | September 18, 2010 1:30 PM

^ you need to put down the lamb chops and get with the hummus my brother. It will give you many benefits:
1. Better smelling breath.
2. More $ in the wallet.
3. Nicer heart and empathy for animals.
4. More energy for rock and roll dance moves such as the hip thrust due to the power of phyto-nutrients locked within the chickpea.
