Friday night in NYC (pic by feralcatpro)
Karen O

Nylon says that the "Yeah Yeah Yeahs after party at 75 Clarkson = best dance party in months. Spotted: Karen O, Mary Kate, Lissie Trullie, Charlotte Ronson". 75 Clarkson Street is the address of the Mystique Gentleman's Club by the West Side Highway. "Franco V" was the DJ. Liz Feralcat took the above picture at the Friday night after-party which was a continuation of the Brooklyn band's 10th anniversary celebration that started two days earlier at Monster Island. There was a "Happy Birthday" banner on the stage of the private show that happened at Mercury Lounge earlier, before the after party...

over the past few weeks, between the fashion week thing, the todd p show, the private merc gig, and now the strip club -- i'm really sick of this band. and i used to really love this band.

they were very sweet and you could tell they played the show for the folks who were there from the beginning as their moms and dads were in the crowd along with a select few who were there years ago when they played their first show (opening for the white stripes!). all around good vibes and a great night.

Hey, look at me, a pterodactyl took a shit on my head! Oh, this half-ass Boss Hog rip-off song we're playing? HAHAHA, don't pay attention to that silly! Look at me hanging out with Ronson, who's famous for hanging out with a coke whore who was once in a movie a looooooooooooooong time ago.

FUCK ALL YOU.

I wonder if the Brooklyn vegan staff is ever concerned about how unfunny their commenters are.

It's pretty cool that the band gets to play a show and not have to deal with their whiny fans.

Posted by Anonymous | September 25, 2010 1:24 PM

i was there! woop woop.

Posted by Anonymous | September 25, 2010 1:45 PM

incredible show: high energy, fast songs, slutty crowd. it's surreal how the YYYs are still so great as a live band, and still so great as songwriters too, without cocking up their basic musical formula.

Setlist?

Posted by Anonymous | September 25, 2010 5:28 PM

No way, a band partied at a strip club after their show... that's new.

hahahaha. this comment pgae rules

Posted by Anonymous | September 26, 2010 2:50 AM

What exactly defines a "slutty" crowd? Girls giving it away in bathroom stalls? Sex in corners? Those people in the video above don't appear to be so slutty and Kyp of TVOTR has the highest morals.
