"I haven't seen people having so much fun as they did at Foals show last night in a long time. It was among the best of the 100+ shows I've seen this year. If I can get tickets, I'll see them again tonight." [Anonymous]Foals kicked off a two night stay in NYC with a show at Bowery Ballroom on Friday, 10/1 (pics in this post). The crowd was also treated to the dark folk styles of Esben & The Witch who opened the show. Foals played Music Hall of Williamsburg the next night (pics coming) and are now on tour. They hit Austin City Limits on 10/10 and log more US dates before heading back to the UK by month's end.
Esben & The Witch, who also played Matador 21 over the weekend, will be back in NYC to support A Sunny Day in Glasgow on 10/26 at Knitting Factory. Tickets are still available.

I went to see this Foals band! I don't usually go to these kinds of shows (or go on or post on these types of websites) but some hipster girl dragged me to it. I just wanted to say I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the show....and how good that pussy tasted.

Really stellar performance. The crowd was totally up for it as well. Most fun I had at a show in a long time, maybe since Dan Deacon at Red Hook back in June. I'll definitely check Foals out on their next run through town.

it was was the same set list as MHoW but they switched out "Two Trees" for "Alabaster" at MHoW.

I WANTED to see this Foals band... I usually go to these kinds of shows (and post on these types of websites) but some hipster girl dragged me to a falafel stand instead. I just wanted to say I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the place....and how good that hummus tasted.
