Surfer Blood @ Siren Fest 2010 (more by Jessica Amaya)
Surfer Blood

The Drums/Surfer Blood show at Webster Hall is sold out, and the Surfer Blood shows just keep on coming including a secret show at Cake Shop that happened Monday night (10/18), and the previously mentioned MTV show (which you'll be able to watch at MTV's website) last night at the Studio at Webster Hall. As also previously mentioned, Surfer Blood were added to one of Pitchfork's events and to a show at Bowery Ballroom, but that's not all:

10/18 @ Cake Shop (secret show)
10/19 @ The Studio @ Webster Hall (MTV taping)
10/20 @ Webster Hall w/ The Drums
10/20 @ The Marlin Room at Webster Hall (AFTER THE DRUMS SHOW)
10/21 @ Brooklyn Bowl (Pitchfork's #OFFLINE Festival)
10/23 @ Bowery Ballroom (VFW Group showcase)
Did I miss any?

And The Drums have added a show too. As also mentioned, they are the headliner at the PopGun/Stereogum show happening at Santos Party House tonight (10/20) (aka they also play 2 sets in one night). They go on after Wild Nothing.

Neither Surfer Blood or the Drums are one of the unannounced bands playing the BrooklynVegan party at Public Assembly on Friday.

One of the other bands playing the Marlin Room tonight is PS I Love You who are from Canada (and who play many more times this week).

ok, we got it. you don't need to play every show, you got your "indie cred"

now go away.

didn't they play "every show" last year too?

isn't the point of cmj to showcase new talent, not the same hack jobs that played a billion times a year earlier?

just saw teh drums in boston..very underwhelming

CMJ sucks... Surfer Blood was the breakout band last year, so give those slots to artists who actually need the attention and not one who just signed to a major.
