The Walking Dead

Speaking of bloody, BrooklynVegan photographer Kurt Christensen happened to be walking through Times Square on Tuesday when he was suddenly surrounded by zombies. Naturally he pulled out his camera. His shots are in this post.

The occasion?

AMC and FOX international networks are planning to stage a worldwide stunt that will begin at daybreak in Taipei and Hong Kong on Tuesday, October 26th. Taking direction from "The Walking Dead's" legendary make-up artist Greg Nicotero, hundreds of zombies will consecutively take over major cities worldwide during a 24-hour period. The planned global outbreaks will center in and around the world's major landmarks, including the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City, the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C., Big Ben in London, the Prado Museum in Madrid, the Bosphorus Bridge in Istanbul, the Acropolis in Athens and more.
It was all just a publicity stunt to promote AMC's The Walking Dead - not quite as legendary as the recent Zombiecon event, but we like zombies and it's almost our favorite holiday Halloween, so what the heck. Pictures continue below...

If it wasn't Times Square, no one would have even realized they were dressed as zombies. They mostly just look like gutter punk junkies, minus the bandanna-wearing dog.

With all these fuckers dressing up like zombies, how are we going to really know when there's a REAL outbreak in this city???? I'd hate to be the first one to be all like 'oh isn't this cute? another publicity stunt OH GOD MY ARM MY ARM gargggggggg.'

It's okay, 4:23. I'm sure that AMC paid them for their trouble to promote "The Walking Dead", right?

I only wish tacky, international corporations would rip off EVERY irritating hipster trend, to suck the life out as soon as they possibly can. Cut that shit out of the ground by the fucking roots.

God, who cares? This zombie craze is overdue for expiration...like five years ago.
