There was definitely some azz, but I'm not sure if it was everywhere.

I don't know if I understand the appeal of Big Freedia? Is it a man. Is it a lady. Is it a manlady? I don't understand. The hipster factor in those Freedia photos are pinned to 10! American Apparel check, Laptop DJ with Japanther sticker check!

if you don't get freedia, you're an idiot. there's nothing to get. it's all pretty simple, basic and -- quite frankly -- amazing. it's not for you to "get" if you don't. fuck blogs, let's dance, you twerp.

12:28. You know there is dance music other than Big Freedia out there, right? There are plenty of artists, musicians whose act is not predicated on someone sticking their ass in the air and rubbing against someone.
I thought grinding was lame at high school dances. It's lame now. And no amount of posts on BV or indie rock fans professing their love for it will ever change my mind.

Damn Slick, ain't you ever heard of the dangers of overgold?

i liked all the bieber haircuts in the crowd. looks like a grand old time, bands of the week from brooklyn, old hair metal and blaxploitation. everyone is coming together, right now.

Wavves is the worst band in history.
Posted by Anonymous | November 9, 2010 12:10 PM

Don't recall seeing anyone "grinding" in those Big Freedia photos, but whatever.
No parking on the Dance floor Square, Why are you concerned about how others choose to dance? Why not hang up your hang ups and enjoy yourself in a way that you see fit? foxtrot perhaps? the charleston maybe? I'd bet you're just a ton of fun at a party. "Grinding" is just fine, you're the one that is lame. If you don't want to grind don't, if it's so offensive to you stay home. It's never too late to change, jackass.

re: freedia
shit is FUN, rusty lazer is an awesome dj, freedia is a natural performer that gets me going and doesn't have a long-winded hidden agenda; it's all clear as day. you get it or you don't, and that's cool. i like your "indie rock", but trust, i've been loving the bounce for longer than i probably should, from a very young age. dancing is dancing and once you start criticizing how people choose to dance & enjoy a performance, well, that's when everything gets dry and boring.
