Gang of Four 2010

UK Post-punk greats Gang of Four reunited in 2004. All four original members, Jon King, Andy Gill, Dave Allen and Hugo Burnham, played some shows and reissued some stuff, and then started to leak news about an album of new material. Then suddenly in 2008, Dave and Hugo quit the reformed band, but Jon and Andy continued on, replacing them with new guys. Those new guys are bassist Thomas McNeice (ex-El Presidente) and drummer Mark Heaney. You can see them in the picture above.
And now, the new version of Gang of Four have a new LP, Content, due on Janurary 25th via Yep Roc. Written by Jon King and Andy Gill, and recorded and produced by Gill, the record is Gang of Four's first in 16 years. Grab "Never Pay for the Farm" from that album above.
Not long after the LP is released, Gang of Four will return to North America and play some shows in support. So far only a few dates have popped up, but it looks like a full tour will be announced. In the meantime we know they will play Webster Hall in NYC on February 8th, 2011. Tickets go on AMEX presale on Wed 11/10, and general sale on Friday 11/12 at noon.

It's not Gang Of Four without Hugo and Dave. It's Gang Of Yawn.

Glad that I saw the Irving Plaza and Time Square shows, not this abomination. I had no idea the other two left in 2008.

Hummus for Four?

Get the other two members back and I'll pay 32 bucks. Definitely won't with this lineup.

Did you know hummus can cause severe gastrointestinal difficulties because of the bacteria found in it?
Posted by Mitch | November 9, 2010 11:54 AM
I have never heard of anyone having "gastrointestinal difficulties" from eating hummus. Stop spreading these nasty rumors!
Hummus is all good and has been enjoyed without issue since the days of Mesopatamia. So chill out and pass the pita.

Without Allen and Burnham, you basically have the lineup to Hard and Mall.
FAIL
I'll pass on this fake re-re-union.

Mitch, a squeeze of fresh lemon has the acidity to liven up the hummus, and yet decrease the risk of bacterial concerns.
