Locrian have a new LP on the way entitled The Crystal World, another disc of blackened ambient drone intensity from this Chicago (now) trio. The LP, due on November 28th via Utech Records, ups the ante on their previous drone-y darkness by expanding their sonic pallette (adding strings, clean guitar, among other instrumentation) but keeping with the same gothic and emotional intensity. Spanning two CDs (one disc on LP), The Crystal World takes inspiration from the JG Ballard novel and features the title track and the first disc's closer "Elevations and Depths", available for stream (below) and download (above) for the first time here. Also debuting in this post: the video for "Pathogens" (below). This will be a record discussed at year end, so get familiar.
