No Age at Death By Audio (more by Keith Marlowe)
No Age

The last time No Age was in NYC was eight weeks ago on September 18th, when the band played Music Hall of Williamsburg. Before that, the band played two shows on a Sunday on July 25th, seven weeks before that, at a Pool Party (which was moved to Brooklyn Bowl) and a later show with Universal Order of Armageddon at Death By Audio. Now the band is back for more, having scheduled two NYC shows for this Friday (11/12). First, they'll make a 7PM appearance at KCDC Skateshop followed by a late night appearance at Don Hill's with Bubbles, Allies, No Fear, and Rat King. The Don Hill's show pops off at 8PM.

The shows will kick off a new round of tour dates that will last through November and land them back on the left coast in early December. Full tour dates, video, and a show flyer are all below.

NO AGE sucks. I even wanted to like them. They suck live. The third member helps, but it doesn't make it good. Dean can't sing in tune. They seem to have no concept of what a song is; they just make noise and try to combine it with so called "pop" elements. It just ends up being very very mediocre. Wayyyyyy overhyped and overrated.

these guys are over. every new record is like an ever more boring variation of neck escaper. they sounded interesting years ago when they had nothing to lose, not they sound like they're trying to remake the same pattern of wallpaper every record.

Posted by Anonymous | November 11, 2010 1:22 PM

more like NO TALENT, amirite?

(I'm just kidding. I love these guys. You kids with your beards and your hatin'... it's insufferable.)

GO TO SEE RAT KING! THEY ARE UNLIKE ANYTHING YOU'RE EARS HAVE EVER HEARD!

Posted by Reuben | November 11, 2010 8:10 PM

what's the point of this band?

the songs aren't anything special, then there's 2 minutes of canned noise bullshit between each track

on top of that they talk a line of crap about "d.i.y." and claim to have some integrity, but when it comes down to it they whore themselves as quick as Best Coast or whoever.

no age is just about the definition of non-essential. file under: old news

Nailed it! And yes, Best Coast is somehow much worse than these guys even.

Jesus who the fuck cares. These dude are dul

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2010 1:22 PM

drunkdriver broke up and no age is still around, no justice on this earth

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2010 1:29 PM

no shit.

drunkdriver broke up because the singer/drummer in no age wanted to impress his girlfriend by showing off how many music people he could get to stop working with drunkdriver by spreading rumors that jeremy from drunkdriver (and wives) was a "rapist."

then she dumped him anyway and joined cold cave.

fuck no age

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2010 3:22 PM

That's such an exaggerated and false version of what went down that anon 3:22 has to either be Jeremy or his publicist.

Multiple women came forward to verify that Jeremy has sexually assaulted them. It wasn't one person spreading a rumor. It was confirmed fact.

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2010 3:57 PM

yeah - why don't you show up to the shows tonight jeremy? afraid you'll get your ass beat?

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2010 4:57 PM

no age would love to believe that all the negativity here is hate generated by jeremy, who used to play with them in wives

in reality, jeremy, despite being 100% guilty of all those assaults, would nevertheless never look at this website. besides that, it's not really hate on display here.

it's boredom and peeps just being sick of hearing about this washed up fucking band.

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2010 6:10 PM

Jeremy posted a long, rambling, non-sensical, non-denial on this very site a few months ago.

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2010 6:22 PM

haha 4:57

jeremy villalobos is definitely an alcoholic and probably is a guilty sexual assaulter...

but that doesn't change the fact that he could easily beat the living shit of mssrs. dean spunt and randy randall. do ya really want to egg him on? that guy is pretty fucking strong, and he's got some serious angry motivation to want to destroy you guys... maybe take it a little easy on the idle threats. you're supposed to be the nice guy vegans of indie rock.

also, no age, stop reading and responding to comments on brooklyn vegan! it's not a good look

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2010 6:26 PM

can't we all just agree that no age aren't worth arguing about?

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2010 6:34 PM

who the hell is jeremy? when did no age respond to something on brooklyn vegan? why do you all act like imbeciles all the time? the big chief of this site must read these comments and just facepalm permanently

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2010 6:40 PM

lol oh the mindblowingly pathetic "mssrs" guy thinks some dude is no age because he posted something when in reality both of them are just sad internet dudes cheerleading rock stars and/or rapists. cheers never mind.

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2010 6:45 PM

god damn this shit is boring

who cares. this band was a flash in the pan 3 years ago

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2010 6:45 PM

hey 6:45, you're going to be late for your 'cred' show at the skate ramp.

better get offa that internet and hurry!

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2010 7:32 PM

Regarding that thing when Dean Spunt called a bunch of people to get them to stop booking shows with bands Jeremy from Drundriver was in, which resulted in Drunkdriver breaking up...

Jeremy did sexually assault a handful of women in a seriously fucked up way, it appears to be true.

But.... it was many years ago. Not that the years lessen the seriousness of the crime, Jeremy is a fucking criminal creep for what he did.

That said, it's super bizarre that Dean from No Age out of the blue, years after the fact, suddenly decided to start calling music scene people earlier this year, and threatened not to work with them if they kept working with Jeremy.

Right before his girlfriend left him.

If it was so righteous, why didn't Dean speak up years ago? If it's true that Jeremy had to be stopped, what about all the damage Jeremy could have been doing all those years when Dean was waiting around to get around to telling people about it.
