DOWNLOAD: Wolf Haley & Hodgy Beats of Odd Future - Sandwitches (MP3)

Odd Future

Odd Future (also known as OFWGKTA - an acronym for Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All) is a young skating LA hip hop crew, sometimes 10-members strong, featuring names like Tyler the Creator (the leader), Earl Sweatshirt, Domo Genesis, Hodgy Beats, Left Brain, Mike G, and Syd. These hooligans trot out futuristic and nihilistic rhymes over crude, blackened beats; think RA The Rugged Man, early Cage, Gravediggaz, and El-P all in one. Odd Future has released a ton of recent tracks at their Tumblr, including Tyler the Creator (aka Wolf Haley) & Hodgy Beats burner "Sandwitches", downloadable above (streamable below). The track is primitive hip hop in the best way; off-time beats recall early Madlib and Fondle 'Em-era MF Doom. Crude and dope.

Odd Future (sans Earl who is "on vacation") will make their NYC debut at The Studio at Webster Hall on November 8th, which will be a bit over a week after the Halloween release of MellowHype's spankin' new and 2nd LP BLACKENEDWHITE which is now available as a free download. MellowHype is Odd Future's Hodgy Beats and Left Brain. Expect them to play tracks from the new album, and possibly from their first which was called YelloWhite, at the NYC show. Their only other scheduled show at the moment is tonight, 11/5, in London

Some video of the band at work is below.

Does William Morris book them yet or boutique agency Windish?

Exactly how many SXSW shows will they be doing next year?

And when will their Mountain Dew album drop.

Anybody know about openers for the show?

why do so many people sound like dried up cunts on this website? Forget all the hipster shit and describing the aesthetic of rappers and their music that you probably played for a few seconds before jumped to rash and absolutist conclusions. It's what divides the real people and the shit bags. I'm not calling all of you hipsters, in fact I don't even have a problem with hipsters, its the specific hipsters. You know who you are, the bearded fucking goon that walks in the subway wearing your ray bans every morning. The fucking dude that decided to groom half a mustache and is always staring angstily at the floor. The woman who makes her dog a vegan. The guy in the coffee shop that's reading Burkowski at 8:00 in the morning and acts like a douche and glares at everyone coming in. All of you remind me that even cool people are faggots.

Where the fuck is the world heading?

Where is the world heading you ask? Hopefully NOT to an odd future.

I would love to see the documentary on the roots. My friend saw it and said it was great. Evidently Q-Tip is pissed off on the way he was depicted in the film. Oh well can't win them all tip. Probably your own fault you were depicted that way.
